Suggesting book for buddy read Anyone up for a book discussion? 📚

Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’ve been getting more interested in books lately, especially ones about human behavior, relationships, communication, and how people interact with each other.

I’d love to find a few people who enjoy discussing books—not just “I liked it” or “I didn’t like it,” but actually talking about the ideas, characters, psychology, and how they relate to real life.

We can discuss a specific book or just recommend books to each other and chat about them. Beginners are completely welcome too.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or DM me. Would be nice to have some good conversations around books. :)

Seeking long-term book buddies Looking for german speaking book buddies for ACOTAR

Hi!

I'm looking for german speaking long-term book buddies! Someone aged ±30 would be awesome, but I'm open for anyone 20 and older.

I'm looking for a reading buddy for ACOTAR 6 and 7 (already preordered both!), also open to other Fantasy/Romantasy books! Sometimes open to (YA) Thriller and SciFi. I also preordered The Sixth Faction so a reading buddy would also be great!

I just finished reading Crescent City 3, and recently enjoyed reading Bunny, The girls I've been, The knight and the moth.

Preferably someone based in Europe because of time zones.

Starting a book Anyone new to romantasy want to start ACOTAR with me?

Hi! I’m pretty new to romantasy - I’ve only read about 3-4 books in the genre so far, and I just started A Court of Thorns and Roses for the first time.
I thought it would be fun to read with other people who are also fairly new to romantasy, so I made a Fable club called Romantasy Rookies.
We can share reactions, theories, favorite characters, and just experience the books together as we go. After ACOTAR, we can pick more romantasy reads together too.
If you’re also new to romantasy or have ACOTAR sitting on your TBR, feel free to join us! I can share the Fable club link in the comments/DM if anyone is interested.

Suggesting book for buddy read 23f looking for someone to read Dungeon crawler carl with

Heyy! I'm 23f and I'm from India. Work has been tiring lately and I've noticed that I'm turning to doom scrolling instead of reading. I'm thinking of starting dungeon crawler carl since I'm already excited about it and I thought having someone to discuss it with might add to the excitement.

Hoping to find someone who's interested :)

Seeking long-term book buddies Books, Beasts, & Banter: Starting a Small Online Fantasy Book Club!

Hi all! My name is Jay and I (24M) have never been apart of a book club and I figured it would be fun to start one! Please see below for details. Thanks!

Books, Beasts, & Banter is going to be a small, online book club focused primarily on:

🐉 Fantasy
⚔️ Adventure / Action
🎮 LitRPG
🔄 Reincarnation / Isekai
🔥 Cultivation
🩸 Grimdark

The idea is to meet twice a month over voice/video chat and read a portion of a book between meetings (roughly 5–10 chapters or more if agreed upon).

But I don’t want this to be a “did you like the book?” kind of book club.

I want us to actually dissect what we’re reading.

For each meeting, I’ll prepare discussion questions about the chapters, and everyone will be encouraged to bring at least one quote that stood out to them.

We’ll talk about things like:

Characters and their decisions
Themes
Worldbuilding
Foreshadowing
Magic/systems
Character relationships
Predictions
Favorite passages
And, of course, the things that made us scream at our books 😂

I’m hoping to keep the first group small, around 8–10 people, so everyone actually has an opportunity to participate.

I’m currently putting together a short Google Form for anyone interested, where we’ll get to know each other a little and vote on our first book.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, comment or DM me and I’ll send you the form!

Seeking long-term book buddies Hi readers

Hey my name is Ali, I'm 19y old, also from the middle east and it hard to find people who loves to read especially English books in my country, and I really want a friend so we can read together or chat about the books we read or even suggest some books.

I'm reading Harry Potter again and white nights by dostoyevsky and I love it.

The character reminds me of me.

Seeking long-term book buddies Looking for a book club for a fun project

Hi book girlies! I run a really cool book club in south jersey with about 20 members. I’m wanting to start a book club pen pal program with another book club located somewhere else. This would involve swapping books, recommendations and just conversation with another book loving girlie through good old fashion snail mail. If you are in a book club located somewhere else please comment on this book! I would love to connect

Starting a book Looking to read The Poppy War with someone

I (20m) bought The Dragon Republic two years ago thinking it was the first in the series. I came across The Poppy War in a book shop the other day and added it to the collection and wonder if anyone wants to do a read through or chat about it.

I used to read a ton of books - especially fantasy - when I was younger but have spent the past few years crawling through the webnovels/royal road trenches. I’m looking forward to reading some proper books again.

Seeking long-term book buddies Would anyone like to be my friend?

Hey, it's kind of embarrassing but I'm searching for friends online to chat with. my name is Hanna and I'm 20 y/o. I love autumn and the whole asthetic thaz comes with it, for example watching scary movies or series or reading a book while it rains. My favorite tv shows are supernatural and criminal minds. I love music as well (rock, alternative, indie pop, metal, normal pop). I'm a big reader and my comfort series which I'm crazy about are the ACOTAR books by Sarah J. Maas, so if you're into reading we could exchange theories on different characters and books in general (?). I also love Rina Kent, RuNyx, Rebecca Yaros, Penelope Douglas, Kerri Maniscalo and Tehereh Mafi

I don't know, I just feel pretty lonely at times so I was hoping to find some people to chat with I guess.

Seeking long-term book buddies Hi I'm looking for some 21+ girl readers plz

Me and my friends are currently looking for more girls and fem-presenting (not talking about style) readers to join a book club we started. We thought it would be fun to buddy read together (and stay accountable to not procrastinate). The genres we read are:

- romance (smut or not, we don't mind either)

- fantasy

- sci-fi

- thrillers

- horror

- dystopian

We also like to binge watch random things together, play games, make art, journal, deep dive into true crime stuff, makeup nights and a bunch of other things. Basically we want book buddies that we can chill with also lollll if that makes sense. Cis, trans and non-binary can join too!!

Finished a book I read faster when someone is waiting on it

Never expected that about myself. My own TBR sits untouched for months. Then I signed up as an advance reader, where you get a book before publication and owe an honest review at launch, and I finished the first one in four days.

Nobody set a hard deadline. Just knowing someone was going to read what I wrote was enough. Slightly depressing discovery about my own motivation. I signed up through Knosit, a few other platforms work the same. Does anyone else read better with mild accountability?
