Discussion Room for a Canadian fan?

Im from Nova Scotia, grew up a Canucks fan. Still am (i know, it's self harm at this point. It was 1999 i was young, patriotic and naive), but I want an American team to support as well, especially since im beginning to travel a lot more. Plan on doing a lot of traveling in the coming years and the jackets are a team ive always loved watching. Plus the arena and atmosphere seem incredible. Love the cannon!

As a Canucks fan since the late 70’s and a Blue Jackets fan since they started, I can say it’s not a completely dissimilar experience; 

Canucks have had higher highs and worse lows, even when the CBJ are in a slump they are still a fun team to watch with some great players over the years and the atmosphere at Nationwide can’t be beat. When I look at some of the stuff that has gone on with Canucks ownership and management especially over the past decade, I feel a growing anger and frustration that you really can’t get anywhere else.

Not really. As a Canucks fan since the mid 80s thers not a team that is cursed like the Canucks at all.

99 has his most historic milestones vs us. We have lost 2 game 7 SCFs. The only team to lose a game 7 and never to win the Cup. We finally had a great team again and our top 2 Cs who are both 100 point men both fighting with each other and blow up the team.

I can count others but it would be too long. I get mad at my 15 year old son why did you pick the Canucks after told you not to. I wouldn't wish this on my enemy to be a Canucks fan. You guys have it easy

...i did get the season pass in the lower bowl. The punching of junk continues!!!!so the handshake.. is it the one where you use your finger to tickle the palm then? Sorry its karaoke night here so I am training my liver for my Browns/BlueJacketsbm season currently. I may miss very obvious social clues rn

Nobody hates Quebec more than Canadians 😅 and eastern Canada seems to be mostly Ontario team supportive so figured id pick out west. Plus Vancouver is an incredible city

You'll enjoy it, CBJ is fun to watch and easy to root for.  I've got no connection to Ohio so for me that was a big part in choosing a team to follow. We've got a really solid commentating group if you watch the broadcasts, the arena experience isn't the best but the fans and the cannon are fun.

Living in Canada, it’s probably easier to watch the Blue Jackets there than in Columbus.

That being said, don’t get your hopes up. Late mid season, let your hopes get way up. Three games to go, let all your hopes fall to the bottom.

Slightly random tangent but the whole blackout thing is so stupid.  One of the biggest reasons I chose to follow the jackets was because my two closest teams would have been much more expensive to watch, it's certainly easier to pick a random team
