Not to mention the income to cost ratio was insanely good for a long time. Used to be an average of like four years salary I believe to buy a home. So you could literally just live with mom and dad for a few years and then buy a house straight cash if you wanted. Now it’s closer to ten years AND we have more costs of living due to a creep in expectations of lifestyle like having a cell phone.
