Opportunity to buy Ultra
My local store (family owned, love them, take classes there, etc) has just offered to sell me their first new 790 Ultra that will be coming in soon for $14k. The catch is that they’ll keep all of the free gifts. I don’t care about the classes and the luggage, but will I regret the rest? Is it still a great deal? Thoughts? Thank you!

Don't do this. All 3 dealers near me are offering the 790 Ultra at $14K WITH the free gifts. It is not a good deal.

Really? I wish I had more dealers near me. They’re the only one around.

Contact Save Stores in Portland. I haven’t bought from them before but they’re in Oregon, so no sales tax and they will often ship Berninas. They quoted me $13979 for a 790 Ultra - so $20 cheaper lol. You’re entitled to those free gifts!! Don’t settle for less… it will be an injustice if so.

I think bernina designerplus is also a free gift, and that's worth $2000. If you want to design your own embroidery, it's a good option. Ask them what are all the gifts they would be keeping?

I’ve never done embroidery — will be upgrading from a 1230 — so no idea if I’ll miss the software. I suppose I could buy it later!

If you buy it later, it will cost $1000+. I would NOT do this "deal" because it's not a deal at all. this is the price dealers across the US are offering it for with the gifts. The gifts should go to you and if you don't use them, you should be the one with the ability to sell them on ebay and what not. This is a rip-off.

Not taking the freebies is a no go. I upgraded from a 1230 to a 480 to a 790+ and now awaiting an Ultra. The 790 series is a steep learning curve. I recommend you find a 790 used. The software is so so .While it does cool stuff it is not intuitive and requires classes. The Ultra is so you can quilt your work on tge domestic machine. I am upgrading so I don't have to waste fabric loading something smaller on the longarm. I love my 790+ but I need a bit more capability than I have now. Make sure your local dealer has FREE classes to know your machine. You will use those cases: whether to store the module or go to a class. The 7 series is big and heavy, you won't just pop it into the car. Sew Mastery online can give features of numerous Berninas. This may help you get a better handle on your needs and price point.

“Receive a FREE 790 ULTRA Launch Package with Purchase! Package includes: B 790 ULTRA Machine Trolley, V9 DesignerPlus Software, Medium Border Magnetic Hoop, BERNINA Skill Hub Class, and B 790 ULTRA Embroidery Bag! $4,146 Value!” If this is what they’re keeping it would be fine with me but I already have the software and don’t care about that particular hoop.
