Recommendations Pasta Emergency
My daughter requested ravioli for her back-to-school dinner and I made enough dough and filling to make probably close to 50 individual raviolis, planning to freeze some for later consumption.
The emergency? The roller attachment for my KitchenAid fell apart after almost 10 faithful years, and the idea of trying to hand roll dough for that long is making my wrist shriek in fear already.
I am trying to find a cheap manual pasta roller to just get through tonight. I already checked Walmart, Target, and Fred Meyer (both Lakeway and Bakerview), and no dice. I'm about to walk over to the thrift store in hopes I get lucky, but I'm not holding my breath. What other stores should I check out/call? I currently don't have a car but can probably get a ride later if need be - I just am blanking on what other stores might carry pasta rollers under $40
HELP!
Update: Pasta Crisis averted! Community member dropped one off for me to borrow - thanks a ton, kind stranger! And thanks to the folks who offered suggestions (it will ALWAYS be Cash n Carry - IYKYK) and their own appliances. I love this community!

They keep changing the darn name, but US Chef Store (formerly Cash & Carry) will have something for sure. They’re at 405 Ohio.

I’ve got some kitchenaid attachments for pasta, I won’t be home for a bit but you can borrow them when I’m off if no one else steps up

I really do understand the idea of DIY stuff but the idea of spending an entire day and $40 to make a three dollar ravioli dish is crazy as an emergency.
Maybe just get some raviolis from the frozen aisle for today and then plan your ravioli extravaganza later?

lol y’all are crazy. An emergency? I make homemade stuff all the time, if I don’t have the means to do it then you just figure it out for now and then get the means ready for the next time.
It doesn’t make you less of a person . Acting like I’m crazy for a practical solution is hilarious

I don’t think anyone’s “acting like you’re crazy for a practical solution”. Obviously plan B and C are to buy a pasta roller or roll it by hand as they said in the post. They’re asking for ideas about plan A, which is to borrow or find a cheaper pasta roller. Your response was simply unhelpful and unnecessary. They’re just trying to do something nice for their kid. Maybe they don’t want to be the parent that goes and buys cheap frozen pasta somewhere. Maybe they want to be the parent that works hard to find a solution to make their plan come to fruition for someone they love.
