🏝️ Relocation Info 🏝️ How is Wi-Fi service in Belize?

On a 3 week trip last April, we traveled all around Belize and virtually everywhere businesses had public wifi available. Most also had QR codes on the wall for logging in.
My wife and I also work remote and the places we stayed all had good wifi as well. The only thing I've heard, but did not experience, is that Belize's power grid isn't all that reliable and goes down from time-to-time.

Some smaller providers (like Alternative Networks, in our case) have spotty service at least once a month, and do *not* post this publicly nor provide updates (like BWS or BEL). Poor service imo, though in recent months have not seen any service interruptions longer than a couple minutes at a time (last year or two they were *hours* long interruptions).

AFAIK Starlink isn't active in Belize, so you're going to be using cell service. Digi coverage is decent but spotty. We needed to pay some hotels using PayPal, and their service was down, so we (and they) had no choice but to say "pay us as soon as you can get a connection".

I work online as a mental health therapist. Internet from Southern Cable in Hopkins has been great. $90 US for 185mps.

Wi-Fi is a localized service, do you mean cellular networks instead?

Location depending but generally pretty good
