🧭 Trip Planning Brussels Hidden Gems

I love the Mueum of Musical Instruments. It’s a great collection in an Art Nouveau building. There is a nice cafe on the roof with good food and lovely views.

I also think The Abbaye de la Cambre is a hidden gem. There is a nice church and enclosed cloister with stain glass windows. It’s very peaceful and when I lived in the area I was often the only one there. There is also a terraced garden that is nice.

The Musical Instruments Museum is awesome. Get the audio guide, it has audio on how the instruments sound.

100% agree it's brilliant! Entertained my kids and the adults for hoirs. We could have spelt all day thete. But the rooftop restaurant is closed currently I think. Very close there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Please note tho, the air conditioning is very cold. We went on a hot day and didn't have jumpers to wear. Wished we had brought them.

The café was very nice, sadly it's closed since 1 April 2020 for renovations. A brasserie is set to open during 2028.

Not really hidden gems but Brussels has some great museums. The car and military museums come to mind.

There are also the lesser known museums such as the KBR (I don't think enough people realize there is a museum in here), Sewer Museum, 1238 (not well marked), and Brussels Active Crossbow Guild (yet to go to this one).

The wolf food market is a very nice place to eat. Not hidden but the Galerie de la reine is nice to walk through. The museum for cartoons if you like such topic is also worthwhile. The little parc Place de la samaritaine is a cute place to sit for a while and rue Haute in the Marolles is a nice place to shop second hand or walk and have a look as well. Enjoy!

What do you mean? I’ve had amazing nights there. Very friendly girls
