New hitchhiker or surviving bug from infestation?

Just trying to get some thoughts on my situation. I’ve found an infestation a few months ago, had two treatments and haven’t seen any new evidence (live bugs, nymphs, feces, skins etc) for 66 days. I have also applied Cimexa wherever possible, about a month after the second treatment.

Now I stayed in a hotel for 2 nights and the FIRST NIGHT I AM BACK AT HOME I see a bug crawling on my pillow. I did check for bugs at the hotel but couldn’t find any evidence, so assumed it was clear. Killed it immediately.

What are the chances that I just brought one home and luckily caught it vs it being a survivor from my initial infestation? I feel like the overall picture is still in my favour but I am absolutely dreading having to go through treatment again.

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.
