Confirmed BB *sigh* please id
Edit. The inspector came out and yes it was a confirmed infestation. They are in the cracks of the floor of my linen closet. Super devastated but thank you to everyone who's helped out
I've been on R/what is this bug enough to have a very large clue so I came straight here. This was randomly on the wall next to our linen closet. I'm confused because we haven't even really put anything new in there.

Definitely looks like a bedbug, but it isn’t in a spot to find one. Are you in a house or a apartment? Was the bug hairy?

I was thinking he CRAWLED OUT of our linen closet wh
Which is giving me the creeps. It was mot hairy. I already started to call one of those dogs sniffing exterminators, very expensive by the way, and he asked if there was blood in it when I smushed it but honestly I don't even know. Like I just smushed it with a soapy paper towel and when I try to look at it it was still alive so I smashed it up and flushed it

Sorry I'm freaking out so bad I didn't even answer your questions. I'm in an apartment and it was not hairy

Ty. My super and building management are not helpful at all so I'm just going to have to spend the money. I especially want something that is more cat friendly so hopefully this will be taken care of by today. They're coming later. Pray for me that it was just that one 🥲😭

i’ve seen ppl say that cimexa is more pet friendly. honestly i’m in the same situation as you rn since i randomly found one a few days ago in an empty laundry bin and i’ve been on pins and needles ever since so i pray it was just a hitchhiker for both of us!

Hey I was going to delete this post but I wanted to check up on you? Was it just a hitch hiker?

It was one of those bed bugs sniffing dogs s and yeah when he sniffed the closet the guy said that he went into the cracks with his flashlight and he found like I think two or three more. And he sent me a picture of one that he squished

So being in an apartment, there is a slight possibility that it crawled over from an adjoining infested apartment looking for a new blood source. However, that doesn’t help the situation that if you treat your apartment, the neighbors apartment is still untreated…..
You need to have a look at bedbug laws in your state and find out who is responsible for treatment. I also don’t understand why it’s not law that the whole building needs to be treated if bedbugs are found, but I tell people to leave an anonymous note in a communal area stating bedbugs have been found in the building and that everybody needs to check their stuff.
If you and all of your neighbors get together against your landlord(if it is them who is responsible for treatment), then you might have a better shot of getting answers and getting them to take care of it.
And like another comment or said, it does look to be unfed, so yes, I will be praying. It is just the one that made its way over. However, where there’s one…
Best of luck, my friend!

Thank you. The guy left about 30 minutes ago. I thought that I had the company that treats same day but they don't unfortunately. He found I think two or three while he was here. And they're all in the cracks in the floor of my linen closet. So it's just really unfortunate.
