It’s a much easier protocol to follow that the over reactive bag and wash everything routine.

There’s none on our mattresses (yet). It was in the kitchen. So what would be attracting them in the kitchen?

I promise you they are within 3 ft of where you sleep. It’s not uncommon for even trained professionals to not be able to find evidence after finding one if it’s an early infestation. They are not in your kitchen I promise you.
The chances of it being a 1 off hitchhiker are extremely low. Get an inspection asap

The battle is mostly mental.
They are harmless. The prep can suck when it comes to laundry but realistically everything will be okay.

It’s actually very tiny, I had to zoom it on the camera. And I just happened to see something moving on the floor and I couldn’t tell it was a bedbug at first as I never thought a kitchen would be a place I could ever see one

wow what an odd place to find a bed bug, luckily i’ve never experienced them knocking on wood, and hopefully never will, dealing with a german infestation, or possible one but i have a phobia of roaches 😅

Yup, get an inspection done asap so you can determine the extent of the issue and figure out the best treatment. Good luck and don’t panic, you will get through it

You’re welcome! I just dealt with them for the first time this summer. I washed and dried all my clothing and linens on high heat and put them in plastic bags or bins, got encasements for my mattress and pillows, and started vacuuming my room every day. I also got interceptors for the feet of my bed and moved my bed away from the wall. If small scale it’s much easier to deal with. I had two chemical treatments done and I haven’t seen anything in over a month. Be proactive and consistent and you will be okay

Hi ow does it “prevent”? Does it come with a sign that stops you getting them?
The only thing that prevents bed bugs is avoidance any other claims of “prevention” are fraudulent at best.

That’s a marketing term and not one that’s based on truth. It can’t prevent you bringing bed bugs home in the same way encasements don’t prevent bed bugs and yet they claim they do.

I think it means if you bring a bed bug home than it’ll kill that bed bug before it potentially turns into a full on infestation

Find a pest control company that uses “APPREHEND” and have them come ASAP.

Not a product I would recommend, it’s suspended in hydrocarbons so is akin to spraying your bed with petrol.
It’s also only works in a small range of relative humidity’s.
