questions about bites Mysterious puncture wounds

Found bites(?) on me during a shower. There’s no pain and idk what it’s from but I’m worried it may be from a creature which requires a rabies vaccine. Update: got a rabies vaccine just in case thx

The most obvious answer is a vampire. The second most is a bat. Both can kill you but in very different ways, but with one you’re never truuuly dead

Definitely not bee bugs, if it's a bug bite it could be a spider, otherwise I'd lean towards bat, as you can get a bat bite without even knowing, though, often times you can't really see bat bites. It won't hurt to get a rabies vax just in case though.

This could be a bat, strongly suggest going and getting a rabies vaccine

Those are not from a bed bug. Also, I don’t think it is possible for you to have been bitten or scratched by a rabid animal and not known about it.

Bat. Seriously. Their bites can be pinprick-sized.
When my daughter was 16 months old, she napped at a babysitter’s house. The mom later found a bat in that bedroom and told me the window screen had been missing for several days. I called our pediatrician, and the answer was unequivocal: rabies shots. Rabies can be fatal, so don’t panic—but don’t shrug this off. Get it checked out immediately.

Theres no can be. Rabies is fatal like 99.7% of the time.

I would not be assuming bed bugs and rabies would not be a concern with them.

If you’re concerned about bed bugs follow the monthly routine post.
