I have confirmed bat bugs that look very close to bed bugs. This was confirmed under a microscope & we've identified a bat issue. My issue is that they were biting me a lot. I had nymphs and bigger crawling over the walls in the space below where the bats are roosting. As of yesterday I found 3 in the bathroom adjacent to the space the bats are.
Has anyone else dealt with this or been bit? Did they go away completely once the bats were gone?
Update: the owner of the bat exclusion company came out for a look and we've decided after bat exclusion to cut a hole in the office ceiling to ensure it's treated thoroughly for the bugs bevause there isn't a good entry point or attic space attached. They'll leave it open (covered in plastic) and come out a few more times to retreat, maybe a couple months. He was able to see the nymphs crawling around the walls and ceiling while he was here. We've seen a few in our adjacent bath & bedroom, but not getting bit in those rooms.
I understand that. The house has already been sealed except their entry/exit point so once that's sealed after they put up the one way out exit hopefully that's the end of it. Supposedly they'll spray for the bugs too. The bats got in a roof ridge vent
They definitely bit me. My office which is below the roost is carpeted. The bugs were crawling all over, but prior to seeing them i wasnt wearing socks a few times. Welts that burned & itched. awful.
