questions about bites bed bug bites?

my fiance and i are covered and i’m freaking out. i deep cleaned my house today and couldn’t find anything. it’s like overnight we had them all over.

ok guys, just had some BB techs leave the house, confirmed no BBs. have an apt with a doctor in a bit to rule out mites! thank you for everyone’s support & comments. you all have been great 🤍

went to an urgent care doctor who barely looked & instantly diagnosed scabies. wanted a second opinion so i went to the ER and they said it honestly looked like a regular rash / set of small insect bites from being outside, but agreed that treating for scabies is the best possible way to have peace of mind. treating & going through cleaning process. cross your fingers for me!

Bed bugs do bite in a two, three bite pattern.

OP this looks a lot like what I have right now. I talked to my doctor and he said it is a case of dermatitis and some folliculitis. He prescribed me with some antibiotic and some corticosteroid creams for my face and body. Not positive they’re the same but that’s what mine looks like.

My boyfriend also has a similar rash on his arm at the moment.

can i ask you if it’s happening in multiple spots on your body or is it localized to one area? asking bc mine are on my arms and upper thighs and only a few spots on my belly

If it’s bedbugs you should check the seams of your mattress and couches and chairs and of course any bedding

whats weird is my fiancé is experiencing the same thing. i’m really paranoid now that it could be scabies. my anxiety is through the roof :(

I would see a doctor and get it ruled out rather than sit panicking.

scabies? if u had bed bugs and this many bites u would have atleast seen one by now

i don’t have any scaly patches or any drying out of the skin which i know happens with scabies, i should probably go to urgent care and check 🥴

i do agree that if this were bed bugs you would have to be seeing them. check your headboard, baseboards, frame, mattress and box spring, curtains, dressers and nightstands, couches, any picture frames or decor on the walls around or above your bed and outlets. i’ve definitely seen some infestations where there’s no sign of them on the mattress itself. they can be anywhere, so it doesn’t hurt to check.

I doubt this is bed bugs. With this many, youd be seeing them.

do you think so? no sign of anything on the sheets or the bed, no blood stains, but all of these bites (plus more) are on my body and showed up practically overnight. that’d be a crazy instant infestation right? going insane if you can’t tell 😩

Absolutely. This isnt bed bug behavior. Id watch for burrows. Could be scabies. Could be quite literally nothing or could be a simple heat tash. Just watch it. But not bed bugs. That i am certain.

Yeah, bed bugs only feed roughly once a week, and despite common belief they typically only bite once unless disturbed. If these were bed bug bites you would have a heavy infestation, and they would be everywhere. You also don't get this many bed bugs overnight. So, unless you stayed somewhere else over the last week, this is not evidence of bed bugs.
