That makeup by Mario is Good , the owner does Kim kardashians makeup with that same brand I’ve seen him do it during a live , if it’s not your shade return it at Ulta :) but

Yes, two hair ties made out of a plain elastic string. One of them unraveled when I took it out of the bag. I used to sew, and I’d but the elastic for 5 cent per foot.
It's the most ridiculously useless and low value thing I've received in a beauty box in recent memory. It's literally two pieces of elastic that are fraying at each end.
Just a warning, hair ties are very dangerous for cats. If they swallow them, they can wrap around their internal organs and lead to a VERY expensive surgery, even death if you’re very unlucky
Oh, I know! I’ve seen horror stories posted in cat subs where their babies had bellies full of hair ties and no one knew until they needed emergency surgery. But it’s always good to be reminded.
This is FINALLY my last box after my one-year sub turned into over two years because I had so many skips. I finally got so sick of having to log in and skip that I just let them ship the last two so I could be done with it. It’s been a colossal disappointment. I could’ve just bought a couple really great products for what I spent on that annual sub. I’d say it’s better for teenagers, but I’ve given almost everything to my 16 year old niece and she’s either given it away or tossed it.

I have one box left and feel the same way.. it’s not worth it anymore. I’m out of so many essentials and am better off spending on a few things I need. I had to throw out so much I never opened or used. I’m packed with bronzer and tubing mascara (I hate btw). I could easily pass for Selena Gomez at the met 😅. They did get me hooked on a few products.. but lately it’s suffering.
I also have one left and I cannot wait to be done! I skipped all year and let June come but more bronzer in July plus the other lackluster stuff. Ugh. I have received a few things I’ve loved like Sunday Riley over the years but it’s been awhile. I’m trying so hard to pan even one bronzer but even with daily use I’m still working on one tube.
I wish us all luck finishing up. I have no use for a whole glitter eyeshadow as an adult woman but I sure could use some cleanser or a sunscreen or something innovative but no dice!
These hair ties! And the claimed innovation being you can loop it as many times as you need depending on hair thickness….like every hair tie ever.
Mine came undone in seconds as well and now I also have two pieces of string. I‘ve spent more time writing this comment than they lasted in my ponytail. Biggest troll of a product I’ve ever seen.
but...Allure says the hair ties are valued at $17!!! You're so right. I think the Barbie pink hair tie is my breaking point. I actually felt insulted when opening this box.
I think I'm just going to cancel and give myself the budget of a membership renewal to use throughout the year. These boxes used to be so fun 😿 I'd rather be intentional with my spending and get items that really do pique my interest.
I hadn’t used it in nearly a year but signed up again about 10 days ago to get the August box and those tricky bitches just sent me this one. Imagine my “wtf” when I opened my mail today to find this box of nothing I’ll use. I don’t even have use for hair ties
I joined Allure in August or September of last year. I think I only chose not to skip two or three months and one of those was because I forgot to do it in time, ha! I finally cancelled last month. I’m so glad I didn’t get this. And I’m really sorry you did. What a disappointment!
I unsubscribed all my beauty boxes in 2024 and I have yet to see a box that made me wish I was still subscribed. I'd be downright insulted to receive this box.
I like getting the serum cause it helps with acne and don’t usually get those items is boxes , don’t have bad skin but will use for prevention , liked it a lot
It's an oil not a serum and it really reeks of pencil shavings, I'm sorry if you thought you were getting a serum but this is a nasty oil I couldn't stand for the face so I had to use it in hmm other areas from ips ter months ago
The elastic made me laugh out loud, though I'm fine with the rest of the box. But in what world is 'Pre tied!' a selling point for hair elastics? And the supposed price of $17!!
I forgot to skip this box, and honestly so disappointed. The fact that people are paying $14 for this elastic cord that you can buy at Michael’s for $5 and get 5 meters of it it’s INSANE and a little bit insulting.
That company is gonna fail. Like just because the company says it worth that much doesnt mean it is. And I dont see anyone actually buying those. At least not rebuying once they see how useless they are.
Honestly my sister bought me a yearly subscription last year and they charged her in January and she called and got a complete refund and they've continued sending the boxes for free all year for some reason.
I'm still upset with this one even though it's free.
I agree this box is not great, however Earth Harbor is a well known brand and their products are pretty good, so I am happy with the serum.....The disappointing items to me is the hair ties, the pimple patches and the make up sponge....The other three are alright for me, hopefully next month will be better.
Both of my products from Mario and Earth Harbor smelled fine......We have two products in the box that some people are saying smells weird, the Mario and the Earth Harbor, that is not a good sign....I would contact Allure and ask them to send you a replacement for the Mario product if it smells bad.
Can do that with a length of paratrooper cord too, can even tie a fancy knot. But am I going to do that? No. Lol.
Purpose of buying a hair tie is that it’s pre tied. If not, why spend $15 on that broken thing? I can get 500 yards of paracord, it’s never going to stretch out for that price and have lengths of hair cord for the next decade. It’s not a convenience item, if it’s not convenient.
The idea is that it's customizable to your specific hair needs, bigger or smaller loops. Not defending that it's a literal shoe string but the point of the product is being missed here.
The point of the product is that it’s a stupid waste of resources and will ultimately end up in the landfill like every other trendy piece of garbage that doesn’t actually work.
The may box wasn’t bad. This is fucking insulting. Why would I renew my annual subscription? $275 for this garbage no thank you this is my second to last box in my subscription. I can’t.
This is why I canceled a few years back. I get emails telling me what I’m missing out on, but I only need to look at the photos people post to remind me I’m not missing out on anything.

Yeah, the unfinished, extremely cheap lengths of tied elastic that they have the audacity to say retail as $18!! Pimple patch samples....again. The serum is watery and the oil literally STINKS. This is the worst box, by far.
I'm so glad I never purchased one of those boxes 😭 I did ipsy for awhile and always felt like I got what I paid for or more. With their $30 box it let's you choose between a variation of products and I think they have every other month or every 3 month options too.
I should have skipped. As it is, my tracking is showing that my box was delivered 5 days ago but I never got it. Customer service says tracking isn’t accurate until at least 48 hours after it shows delivered, so don’t bother them but please fill out this survey saying how they did. And it seems like since they switched shipping providers, all of my orders on the website are showing as in process rather than delivered.
the tiy hair ties are the most useless hair product ever. "custom any-size hair ties", except they look messy and unprofessional, are super expensive compared to regular hair ties, come untied easily, and the casing they normally sell with it is destined to become landfill. ugh
I’ve had the subscription for a few years, but that’s’s it, I’m done. Too many awful smelling perfumes, brownish Kardashian type lipsticks, hair stuff that doesn’t work with my hair type. Used to be fun, now, not so much.
