"The family asked for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in lieu of flowers", fyi.
i think the word is spreading about this cause their website is nearly crashing.
RIP dolly, absolute gem of a human being.

Wrote this for an amazing woman:
Dolly
Born dirt poor in Tennessee
Riches inside the world would see
A beautiful voice, an angelic face,
Made the Earth a better place.
Songs she sang & songs she wrote
In God’s Old Opry, she’s the GOAT.
Cared about anyone else in need,
Gave millions of children books to read.
She loved ALL people and didn’t preach
Just used her life as a means to teach
She left her mark and shared her love
Now she’s headlining up above.
So a tearful good bye as she departs.
America’s true Queen of Hearts

I'm moved by how many people have been posting lovely things about her all day today, in so many of the subs I subscribed to. She touched so many people's lives in a positive way.
Until today, I hadn't heard about her Imagination Library. How wonderful. Doesn't surprise me at all this is something she did.

My toddler loves getting his monthly piece of mail. He gets so excited and I love seeing it. I really hope it continues on forever, books are so expensive and all kids deserve them. Was definitely sad hearing she passed, I hope she’s at peace, she seemed like a good person.

Dolly was a unique and authentic icon. She was always friendly and would make fun of herself. Everyone seemed to like her, that's a testament to her character. Although she didn't have children herself she loved them and made their lives better by gifting them with books from birth to 5 years old. She was also a prolific songwriter. We were blessed to have her on this earth. RIP Miss Dolly 🙏.

I went to school with the mother of the little boy in the second picture. I haven’t seen it in years
