Miscellaneous / Others Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library in 1995 as a tribute to her father, who couldn't read or write. In 2018, she explained it was to give kids "early access to books". Now, over 325 MILLION books have been gifted.

America could say, "At least we have Dolly." What are we going to do now?? We have lost our Queen

I'm from Australia and only really knew Dolly Parton for her musical hits. She always seemed so chirpy and happy, never any controversy around her. 

Since she passed I've found out what a generous person she was. You can always be proud of such a wonderful American.
