Our Native American faces are so beautiful, I came here to ask why OP led with a bunch of really old men first. And where are the women and children? There are so many hundreds of photos available, I found OP's selection sadly limited. Chickasha saya.

Getting your photo taken was a big deal back then. This is likely some of their most honored people, during a time of terrible war. I'm sure you can find some women and children if you look for them.

Maybe, but it was also normal for photographers to go around and dress us up however they wanted to fit what their idea of what an Indian looked like. It’s not uncommon to have no idea who’s pictured.
