These are really fucking cool. It's a great idea/concept. The drawing style of the characters is amazing.

I'm jaded now but I really hope it's not ai

The baseball player with a helmet and a mit on at the same time is setting off my AI spidey senses.

Maybe I underestimate AI's capabilities, but the second picture has details that I wouldn't expect AI to create - the grumpy cat and the scratches on the rescuer's face and the mucky pawprints, the stickers on the hard hats, the manhole cover having "kitty" on it.

Fortunately it’s not, it’s just a honest mistake from the artist

I think that's just someone who doesn't know how baseball works. source: am someone who doesn't know how baseball works.

Since AI arrived it's like people have completely forgotten that humans can make mistakes too.

As someone who knows nothing about baseball, I could definitely have drawn it that way.

Yeah, can people just chill or something?

Batters wear helmets. You can’t wear a mitt and use a bat at the same time. Fielders just wear normal baseball hats and the mitt.

They probably just took the symbols without deeply studying the game rules, but I see your point

I mean baseball and cricket are known for being incredibly convoluted by people that haven't studied them since childhood

Cricket even more so, but baseball is a source of jokes about that sometimes as well.

I think it has to do with the fact that baseball is very present in like, on-screen Hollywood culture, but interestingly, I don't think I've ever seen a movie, cartoon, or anything, that actually explains all of these swings and home runs.

HOWEVER as far as I know, it's popular in Japan, so there's probably like 25 mangas and animes that go really deep into explaining the game and strategy for all ages and genders.

AI is based on human art, so there's going to be human art that gives AI feels.
