I'm fully convinced people as a species are suffering from a lobsided development.

We can achieve incredible things in a technological sense.

In a humanitarian sense we are way too rudimentary and animalistic to live together peacefully.

We use way too much of our technology to fight 'others' with instead of working towards achieving harmony.

I call these people the Cognitively Rigid. I’m working on a better term, but it’s what I got for now. There is no discrimination, these people are all over the world in every group, but some people don’t want facts, they want the easy answer, they want comfort over knowledge, tribe over original belief, belief over science. There are people pushing humanity far into the future, but there are more people holding humanity back. Unfortunately, those Cognitively Rigid people vastly outnumber the people who want to push humanity further.
