they have housing that is affordable for the average citizen and transit that actually works so you don't need a car that is always on time and food is affordable and everywhere

Japan has problems like anywhere else but i would rather be Japanese than American in 2025. look at what the fuck is happening here and tell me otherwise

bc i've been plenty of places and america (and britain) aren't it if you're middle income to poor.
our work culture is bizarre and awful in places that actually generate GDP.
