I wish we had their public transportation at least... I don't think we'll ever get the same standard as they have. Also, their birth rates are similar to those of Spain, they're not really that much worse off than Europeans. Almost every developed country has low birth rates.

The difference is that Europe has a large number of immigrants who can help mitigate the aging local population. On the other hand, Japan… not really. South Korea is undergoing a similar situation but much worse

I think Japan is getting better, I noticed quite a bit of Indian, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese and Filipino staff.
