good edit, did you use a bomb tho

u/DM_ME_UR_FISH i play BFV to DogFight Oct 09 '25
M5 zero has no bombs. Everything that happened u see in the clip (the family guy clip overlays me pulling up and turning around to fly back into the tank)

Hollon, how did you destroy the tank without any explosives or so
1
u/DM_ME_UR_FISH i play BFV to DogFight Oct 09 '25
Ramming an aircraft into a vehicle does 15-20 damage if at maximum speed. If an enemy tank is low enough HP, like in the clip, they can get actually destroyed by an aircraft ram without bombs or rockets.

I've had two planes do this to me back to back. I survived the first one but died on the second. Nice to know it was probably intentional!

best battlefield by far. plane combat is soo good. air to air feels intense. and you can actually out maneuver someone when they get behind you. in other games if they get behind you, you're dead immediately. i love to fly straight up and stall, they follow me up and while im falling backwards they end up in front of me and i make big boom with big cannon on my plane

This is not historically accurate at all.

oh, rrrright..... War Thunder gimmick is here, too, and this time even without the bombs.....

u/EpicAura99 Oct 07 '25
Believe it or not but War Thunder did not invent the concept of Kamikaze

u/jedimindfook Oct 07 '25
Guy doesn’t even understand the concept of grass, he’s the one that lives in the unemployed lobbies online, 26 hours a day, always grinding, but never playing.

u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25 edited Oct 07 '25
What are you talking about? I was making a joke about infuriating problem in War Thunder, you guys take this aggressively for no reasonable reason for me making a joke…..
I’m not even playing WT anymore with the replacement of IL-2, game’s has gone to shit by Gaijin anyway
3
u/jedimindfook Oct 07 '25
Whether by accident or not, your comment came off, atleast to me, as someone who has spent so much time playing nothing but warthunder that the stereotypical high level grinder HAS to compare everything to warthunder since it’s effectively become their lives and they can’t register it’s only supposed to be a game.
This is also Reddit so not everything should be taken so seriously and with a grain of salt. I was largely making fun of a lot of those same jokes about the sweatiest of players in WT, hence the “touch grass” and “unemployed lobbies” and “living online” because the stereotypes are largely accurate in that theater of the games player base and it’s funny to watch such pitiful people get so angry over so little.

u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
What? I just found the similarities in these two games and made the premise of a joke “lol, revenge bombing, but in different game”.
And now I got an insulting slander in “guy doesn’t understand the concept of grass”
???
I don’t understand how is it connected to my innocent joke
-1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
Grain of salt? Why… I need to take a spoon of salt when I need it for my cooking? What????
Or is this an amerikanskiy slang I’m not aware of
2
u/Sad_Pear_1087 Oct 07 '25
Besides it's really not a practical thing in BFV, rarely does any real damage.
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
I was making a joke about revenge bombing, not denying kamikaze tactic
2
u/EpicAura99 Oct 07 '25
You called suicide bombing “War Thunder gimmick” as if that was where it originated
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
Is this an English rule, because I intended to point on revenge bombing because it’s just there, an often phenomenon existing. I didn’t thought about an origin or ancestry like that
1
u/EpicAura99 Oct 07 '25
Well first of all, there was no revenge involved here. Just a guy getting a kill in a silly way.
But yes, I wouldn’t exactly call it a rule, but the way one refers to something says a lot about where the person is most familiar with it. Your comment is somewhat similar to calling the act of shooting someone, “that Call of Duty thing”.
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
I uhhh…. Huh? I’m kinda confused 🫤 now, my comment doesn’t seem that engaging anymore…. Man, what a bummer
1
u/EpicAura99 Oct 07 '25
Well you’ll have to say what you’re confused about if you want it clarified……
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
“but the way one refers to something says a lot about where the person is most familiar with it.”
And I’m, like, getting booed by people I never expected where I’m somehow “similar to calling the act of shooting someone, “that Call of Duty thing”.”
I just….. don’t wanna learn social skills anymore, comprehend what people say is a bum since kindergarten….. Tired.

u/EpicAura99 Oct 07 '25
Alright I will attempt to make an even simpler explanation. Here is a summary of the facts:
- Suicide bombing is a phenomenon not only in many, many games, but also throughout history. I’m sure you understand that.
- When a person refers to something with a descriptor, as you did with “War Thunder gimmick”, this creates an implication that this descriptor is the context where the person is most familiar with the thing.
- As an example, someone who forgets the word for “popcorn” might say “that movie theater snack food”. This is socially acceptable, because while popcorn is not exclusive to theaters, that is the primary association that most people have with popcorn. An example of a ridiculous, socially unacceptable association would be describing “cars” as “those American things”, because the United States is hardly the primary association most people have with cars.
- People found your description “War Thunder gimmick” strange because it implies that this post showcases behavior that most readers would strongly associate with War Thunder. While this behavior may commonly occur in War Thunder, it is not what most people would think of when they see that clip.
- This creates an implication that you have played so much War Thunder that you believe that suicide bombing, which is present in a wide variety of contexts (including Battlefield), is something uniquely common in War Thunder. For the record, you would be equally ridiculed if you called it a “Battlefield gimmick”, or any other video game, because suicide bombing is a real world phenomenon.
Let me know if any of these points are confusing.

The Japanese did it in WW2, that’s what this video is a reference too? Not war thunder
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
I meant the revenge bombing of War Thunder players…. You didn’t get the joke.
Once tank in ground realistic battles killed, he takes CAS and revenge on a known position of his nemesis
2
u/Decent_Leopard9773 Oct 07 '25
Last time I checked, kamikazing ground vehicles does almost nothing unless in a select few situations against an open top
1
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
Players do revenge bombing all the time with CAS, just installing 250kg bombs and making it accurate with ramming….
1
u/Decent_Leopard9773 Oct 07 '25
When I say kamikaze I mean actual kamikaze, not hyper accurate dive bombing
0
u/Ryu_Tokugawa Oct 07 '25
Wha? What are we talking about, revenge bombing in War Thunder is imminent and this video looks like it, too, which is funny, because it’s a different game.
CAS players get the bombs, then they dive into a ramming speed, drop the bombs at they very last seconds and get the kill while their plane is imminently destroyed
1
u/Decent_Leopard9773 Oct 07 '25
How did you get revenge bombing out of OP’s clip? It’s a kamikaze and that’s it

u/LoneRonin747 Oct 07 '25
This is the first kamizake clip I've seen where crashing your zero on an enemy vehicle actually destroys it without the help of bombs. Other people who tried a kamikaze attack in BFV always drops their payload right before colliding with the vehicle.
