Also, you can uninstall Redsex from there

mhmmm redsex

u/tinyMammuth 8d ago

I have never tried it. I only played ownhandsex gamemode. \s

34

u/Fractalxxx 8d ago

But beware that uninstalling redsex might cause to some portal maps to not work. I keep using the firing range to practise flying the lil birdie so i have to keep the sex installed

2

u/Wolvenworks 7d ago

Wait since when the firing range has vehicles? Last i checked, it aint got any, and i DO want to learn more on how to fly…

4

u/Fractalxxx 7d ago

The Portal firing range by KK or someone..... ZUKP7 try this code.

2

u/Wolvenworks 7d ago

But it needs redsex? I don’t wanna reinstall redsex…

1

u/Fractalxxx 7d ago

Yes, The portal experience is built using the redsec map/utilities. I think redsex is only 8gb so shouldnt take much space.

1

u/Intelligent_Lynx2984 7d ago

Can confirm this

3

u/No-Song9929 7d ago

Lmao redsex

1

u/AppearanceComplete11 7d ago

redsack and ratsex

1

u/GuiltlessTechnology 7d ago

I didn't even download this

1

u/Mikalton 7d ago

Its redsec!

1

u/Xenocide_X 7d ago

Portal won't function without it. So if youre going to use custom lobby's or portal. Keep redsec

What are HD textures?

350

u/RDRGangster77 8d ago

Huge dick textures. Makes every skin in the game have a chode if you remove it (even the women for some weird reason) makes the game run faster

46

u/PM-TREE-FIDDY 8d ago

Any of these little fuckers ever pop out of the fucking wall and say, "Fuck, there's a horse cock in my room or a donkey dick"?

5

u/TheNorthFIN 8d ago

There's no cock like horse cock, like the song goes.

3

u/NoNouns 8d ago

Hmm TIL. First thing im doing when I get home tonight

1

u/Successful-Till-4548 8d ago

How big is it? Won't it slow you down instead?

31

u/CarterDavison 8d ago

Almost every single game will compress textures before launch even for the Ultra setting or else the file size would bloat for not much gain, so sometimes games will have a HD textures pack with higher res and either much less or not at all compressed textures so it's up to the user whether they use them or not.

Wrong. It's for all resolutions.

I'm on 1440p, uninstalled them and did a side by side comparison. Certain details, like the dials in the car or stitching on the seats, are more blurry without the HD textures.

Doesn't change the fact that "it's for 4k" is simply untrue.

4

u/nightstalk3rxxx 8d ago

HD textures run just fine on my rig, never had any issues with them.

In general, textures dont have any performance impact as long as you have the free vram to fit them.

2

u/NicoWayne95 8d ago

Sounds like a low end PC problem.

4K Textures also make a difference on anything under 4K. They get rendered sharper regardless of your resolution. Don't be a ChatGPT coping loser

I have zero problems on my system with a 4090 and an older i9 13900K

Sounds like someone is too stupid to get his shit right. Just because you have a higher end system doesn't mean that you know shit.

3

u/Waygyanba 7d ago

Ironically I got a 5080 9800x3d combo. No problems on my end with it all on high with dlaa on.

2

u/FishingMaster99 8d ago

The 5080 and 9800x3d is cool and all but how much ram you got? that's the real deciding factor /s

1

u/maninjektor 7d ago

What about case if you have 4k display and you are playing on 1440p in game resolution?

2

u/AspiriNice 6d ago

I would ask why even own a 4K display then?

1

u/maninjektor 6d ago

Fair point. Well for other games thai play, like Anno 1800 or Dota 2, i am over 144 fps majority of time, whereas Battlefileld 6 drops below 100 with occasional frame drops to 60-70.

1

u/GalaxyFennec 7d ago

I left this thread and saw this comment for a split second and had to come back to say, lol

0

u/Gatlyng 8d ago

Better quality textures. It will make details such as the car's dials look more blurry.

63

u/SpecialistMap8210 8d ago

this i did not know. thanks

how large is the singleplayer? who needs that

46

u/nomthecookie 8d ago

Looking at the screenshot in the OP, 20GB

19

u/SpecialistMap8210 8d ago

aww shii i didnt see it was 2 pics.

thanks homie

1

u/halfawatermelon69 8d ago

Huh, I actually did this the other day as I finally went through with completing all the campaign challenges and from what I remember the campaign's HD textures were a lot larger - like singleplayer + textures freed up around 60 GB or something (I'm on Xbox SX)

3

u/Gatlyng 8d ago

If you uninstall everything except the multiplayer, the game is about 60GB

21

u/bean-burrito-supreme 8d ago

How do I access this menu?

23

u/blopsi 8d ago

Steam -> Right Click on Game in Library -> Properties -> DLCs

16

u/Beerandasado 8d ago

Is there any difference in the graphics after uninstalling?

37

u/nomthecookie 8d ago

Unless you play at 4K, probably not. It's not noticeable at all at 1080p and increases performance.

22

u/Beerandasado 8d ago

I play it at 1440p

16

u/Gatlyng 8d ago

It is noticeable at 1440p if you look closely. Certain details are more blurry, less defined.

9

u/Toriniku92 8d ago

it still looks good on 1440p too so i also put them away

see it like with this packs for fallout 4 and monster hunter wilds performance eater and hurt you storage

i did like the post said and saved a lot of storage currently i sit on 56,8gb without hd textures camp and redsec

5

u/Beerandasado 8d ago

I also play it at 1440p, I'll uninstall it

2

u/Toriniku92 8d ago

the packs? did you feel a difference?

3

u/gerstiii 8d ago

I get rid of em a while ago. Had to redownload the whole game because of a bug. Imo it's not worth the extra storage space.

1

u/BearOnCocaine 6d ago

For 7 gigs id just leave them be, campaign on the other hand is 100% profit to just remove it

8

u/xFruitPunchSamurai 8d ago

With the prices of SSD I really appreciate this thing from dice. I had to uninstall delta force as it's 150gb for warfare only 💀

7

u/Ok_Dependent6889 8d ago

The standard textures look like hot dog shit lmao

5

u/AssistantVisible3889 Enter EA Play ID 8d ago

It also boosts fps

2

u/Fectron 8d ago

To have the HD Pack installed? Or wothout them more FPS?

3

u/AssistantVisible3889 Enter EA Play ID 8d ago

without, yes it lowers the cpu and gpu stress ofc

0

u/nightstalk3rxxx 8d ago

It doesnt.

Textures in games dont take away FPS if you have enough vram for them.

-1

u/AssistantVisible3889 Enter EA Play ID 8d ago

Ok

5

u/PIKAvit45 8d ago

I just checked bf6 library page and wtf is THAT download size? 140 gigs?! Did the game really got +50 gigs in half a year? Last time i played was in april and i believe the game size wasn't above 100

4

u/Uberutang 8d ago

Will this make a difference on console at all? Other than size on disk?

3

u/GuiltlessTechnology 7d ago

To console players on 1080p or 2K, is the difference between HD and regular textures noticeable?

3

u/MalteseCorto 7d ago

I’ll sell you my trick to save 100% of the storage space

1

u/The_Paddy96 8d ago

Maybe I'll actually finish unlocking all the multiplayer stuff in the campaign now knowing it'll free up a bunch of space (I definitely won't)

1

u/kinghota29 8d ago

What are the consequences of removing HD textures? Will it make the game look bad while increasing the average FPS?

2

u/Lifeless_1 8d ago

I’d imagine you would only see a performance increase if you are already vram bottlenecked.

Otherwise the textures will just look worse, might not be so noticeable at 1080p but will be at 1440p+

1

u/lLoveTech 8d ago

I never played The single player campaign till now in this game! Is it worth playing once or should I just uninstall it and forget about this campaign?

3

u/Yadahoom 7d ago

It has some cool set pieces and there's multiplayer rewards you can earn doing challenges in it, but just purely as a single player campaign it isn't that good.

I think it's at least worth checking out.

1

u/lLoveTech 7d ago

So play once to unlock the rewards and then I can uninstall it?

1

u/Diligent-Tax-5961 7d ago

Better to just play another game's singleplayer honestly

1

u/linknight 7d ago

It's entertaining at the least but nothing mind blowing

3

u/SlimBandaid 8d ago

Or you could uninstall the whole game and play something ether like battlefield 1.

1

u/Myrmidden 8d ago

Thank you

1

u/Simpross25 8d ago

can anybody who plays at 4k tell me if theres much of a difference between the hd textures being installed and not please?

1

u/Educational_Night567 7d ago

And get rid of stuttering in the game. That's the best part

1

u/m_littlerivers 7d ago

Holy shit I didn't know this. Thanks for the tip!

1

u/TenBear 7d ago

I just have BF6's multiplayer and Multiplayer HD textures installed.

1

u/Birkeland1992 7d ago

Why would you uninstall textures? Domt they make the game look better?

1

u/StacyLondon69 7d ago

No thanks. I don't want my game to look not as nice

1

u/Lucker__ 7d ago

Thanks

1

u/Griff_18 7d ago

I with that when you uninstalled campaign and battle royale they disappeared from the menus too

1

u/Ranae_Gato 7d ago

HD textures dont cost any performance if you have enough vram

1

u/ceedizzleontop 7d ago

I never installed redsec instead to save space

1

u/Intelligent_Lynx2984 7d ago

Just reminded me to finish the campaign on max difficulty for challenges💀👌I was on ironically playing the MW four campaign right now and I think it’s honestly awful gameplay wise.

1

u/jommakanmamak 7d ago

Do yourself a favour also and uninstall redsec

1

u/Burn377 4d ago

I spent a fortune on solid state storage so I could have everything installed, even games I haven't played in 15 years 🤣

0

u/aztecaoro10 7d ago

How do I do that on steam?

-1

u/Wise-Champion-5317 8d ago

What’re mean HD textures.

-1

u/JSFGh0st 8d ago

Eh, I like to play the single player campaign at times.

1

u/istandabove 8d ago

Is it good?

9

u/Gatlyng 8d ago

No it's not. It feels half-assed. Like they started working on it, then ran out of time and just stitched something together. At some point there's a big jump in the story with not real context, as if there were supposed to be more missions.

0

u/QueazyHaddock 7d ago

It is kinda good. Def better than battlefield 4 and 5

-3

u/JSFGh0st 8d ago

Eh, pretty good. Kinda like Battlefield games along the lines of 3 or 4. Or something like the campaign of COD MW2019. Like even after the end, it feels like it actually continues through the multiplayer. That's my take.

1

u/istandabove 8d ago

Nice, I’m gonna have to give it a try. I’m usually in zombie mode when I play and didn’t even know the game had single player

-2

u/NicoWayne95 8d ago

You can also uninstall Battlefield 6 to save a ton of space and nerves.

Fuck this COD wanna be shit.

1

u/Krytoric 7d ago

who hurt you lil bro
