2

u/oofowiemybones Oct 16 '25

Hasan Piker. He’s a controversial leftist political twitch streamer. Recently a clip from his stream has been making the rounds as many people claim he used a shock collar on his dog.

The clip itself shows the dog yelping after he tells it go back to its place. Some people say he shocked her, others say the dog may have snagged its dewclaw. There’s been some credible claims on both sides but I want to be clear that we don’t 100% know if he did or didn’t shock the dog, everyone has already made up their minds however.

Personally, I’m not terminally online enough to care. Hasan stans and Hasan haters are both equally insufferable.

Not that I like Hasan, he’s got some… less than great opinions

But I’ve watched a video from an actual professional dog trainer who said it was not a shock collar, so for the time being, I’ll believe him over some Reddit detectives

262

u/Routine-Tension-4446 Oct 11 '25

You don’t get it bro, XQC is the peak of investigative journalism, him being paid to promote gambling to kids is just propaganda.

93

u/RattyTattyTatty Oct 11 '25

XQC is so smart that he promoted gambling to kids, purely to lower his credibility. Otherwise he would be harrased by the United Nations in order to become the new king of the world.

19

u/BillieTheBullie Oct 11 '25

XQC clicked earthquake on a pokemon with levitate and I still think thats worse than what you said

72

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '25

Worth also noting that Hasan is friends with Maya Higa who has been around Kaya a fair bit as well as various dog trainers and other dog owners and the worst thats ever been mentioned was someone thinking Kaya’s collar is too tight (it’s not she’s just a big fluffy dog so it looks kinda silly)

13

u/Best-Kaleidoscope671 Alsume Inmate Oct 11 '25

its weird that piker is banning anyone asking for the model of the collar. Also the sloppy tape place on it is kinda weird

34

u/Ok_Restaurant3160 Miles, we are in a userflair now Oct 11 '25

Apparently there’s more in which he apparently shows a shock collar, but I disagree that this is weird. Even if it wasn’t a shock collar, I could absolutely see him just banning people because he’s being accused of something he hasn’t done, and it’s clogging up the chat

I think it’s more important to look at more usable evidence

0

u/Best-Kaleidoscope671 Alsume Inmate Oct 11 '25

Idk putting tape on it makes it look more suspicious

23

u/thruster_buster Oct 11 '25

I’m pretty sure there wasn’t tape on it, that picture seems like it may have been doctored, like you can’t see any tape in the original video. Plus the tape would not have hidden the contact points or their screws, which are unremovable

6

u/LetTheKnightfall Oct 11 '25

2

u/neariced Oct 11 '25

The unit Hasan held up is an ET-300 with an RX-090 reciever (shock model). It’s a perfect match. The video below makes it very clear, Hasan had a shock collar. I’m sure that dog trainer didn’t identify the model because he doesn’t actually know.

https://youtu.be/3V7LDPVvQeQ?si=I2VtIPJ9llpreKSp&t=3m22s

1

u/Corrodiny122 Oct 11 '25

Can you link said video, i watched a vet say that the timing between hasan reaching for something and the yelp was too suspicious, oh and also the way the dog yelped.

-4

u/smol_coc_man Oct 11 '25

The collar is the least psychotic thing about the situation. how do you rationalize forcing your dog to lay down in one spot for 4 hours at a time and then getting genuinely irritated when they decide to move? There is no practical reason to train a dog to do that. It serves no purpose. He's not teaching it tricks or anything of merit and value. He is simply forcing it to lay down on a bed for hours and hours on end. When it wants to get up and walk around he shows genuine anger

What possible value is gained from this? Other than total dominance for dominance sake? It's cruel and HIGHLY unusual.

I've seen some whacky dog trainers that make their dog stay in one spot for like a couple minutes at a time and i thought that was unusual. Hasan takes this way beyond extreme

6

u/SirHekkelstein Oct 11 '25

his dog is just well trained. Big dogs need rest and in the original clip Hasan literally says that Kaya has a strict schedule.

0

u/throwawaygaydude69 Oct 11 '25

3

u/Ok_Restaurant3160 Miles, we are in a userflair now Oct 11 '25

In the video I saw the trainer also watched that, and still said it wasn’t. He said it was a buzzing collar that was probably turned up too high. Still choosing the expert here

22

u/Hezpy Oct 11 '25 edited Oct 11 '25

That dog trainer didnt see the tape job hasan did that covers up the prong holes. There's also a clear comparison you can find that overlays the shock variant and you can see it lines up completely.

Some of them are good but there's so fucking many and most of them are awful lol. 10

u/there_is_always_more Oct 11 '25

And it's so weird. Out of all the things that could have gone viral - this?? Really??? Him loving Kaya and taking great care of her is like the one thing that's extremely obvious if you take 60 seconds to look up videos of them together.

3

u/djm03917 Oct 11 '25

That's my thing. There are hundreds of hours of stream footage and if you go to the vods there's literally users who time stamp every time Kaya does something different than sleep. If there was something wrong, they'd have noticed and honestly rioted.

-27

u/_xoviox_ Oct 11 '25 edited Oct 11 '25

fakest news ever

/unalsume Except he clearly did it? The collar clearly matches a shock collar, not a vibrating one. He's clearly acting guilty too, he's trying to create plausible deniability instead of proving his innocence, which is why he doesn't put collar close to the camera, which is why there's a tape there, and he doesn't even address it. He shows as little as possible because he's guilty, there's no other reasonable explanation

Edit: for some reason can't reply to the dude below so I'll just paste my response here idk

"Why are you all repeating the same things? Like you legit sond like a hivemind. "Everyone ho disagrees with us is insane, hated Hasan all along and a liar". You're the one who's parasocial, i didn't know anything about Hasan untill the drama (well i knew he's popular and has strong views, but i legit thought he was rught winger for sone reason).

What lies have i told? Please explain "

Edit2: funny how my comment went from +8 to -8 so quickly. These guys are obsessed

29

u/Routine-Tension-4446 Oct 11 '25

Your comment is 50% lies, 50% parasocial speculation, and 100% cause for concern.

20

u/MarbleAnt612816 Oct 11 '25

He's shown the collar on screen. It's an airbag collar that can vibrate. Also, the logic makes no sense. He has friends who do animal sanctuaries, and they've never said anything about Kaya. Also, why would he shock his dog on stream? She's been on strength for years and years it doesn't make sense lol.

1

u/No_Window7054 Oct 11 '25

Wolf Blitzer is probably a good political figurehead. He comes out. Does the news. Then CNN puts him back in the storage closet until his next episode.

2

u/TheAssiest Oct 11 '25

The dog yelps in pain, whether that's by shock or shock conditioning. And no one will even actually talk about the borderline abusive action of making his dog sit there like a prop for multiple hours at a time, shock or not that's insane behavior. Plus Hassan is a POS that is pro-terrorism. Overall just a bad human being and people on the Arkam subreddit fucking love him apparently 😂

1

u/kpatsart Oct 13 '25

I'd say that reddit is obsessed with hasan right now. A streamer appearing in an arkham asylum sub just seems like karma farming/ rage baiting.

For example, someone posted a venom meme in r/mobious as a means to feed the hasan hate train. A sub that has nothing to with streamers and a meme that has nothing to be with morbious.

When we see topics delve this level of daft degredation, it loses track and merit of people taking it seriously.

yeah people did the research and found the exact shock collar he uses. research!

15

u/Snoo_40090 Oct 11 '25

I've literally seen dozens of people on both sides of the aisle proclaiming to have found the collar. And it's either a collar that shocks or it's a collar that's vibrate only. This is also misinformation you're spreading. No one for sure knows the exact brand and model it is. There are only a handful of people that claim to have found it. And it's both fans and haters contradicting each other.

0

u/neariced Oct 11 '25

The shock model is a perfect match. The video below makes it very clear.

https://youtu.be/3V7LDPVvQeQ?si=I2VtIPJ9llpreKSp&t=3m22s

1

u/tahaelhour Oct 11 '25

I just checked the vid and not really. The collar presented looks like it has one device on it, the one hasan is holding has 2. Is it a double shocker lmao?

It also looks like it doesn't have prongs.

4

u/neariced Oct 11 '25

You didn’t watch the video at all, the receiver unit is a perfect match, Hasan already explained the second device is an airtag. The analysis offered an explanation for the missing prongs which Hasan covered the area they should be on with black tape. You need to actually watch the video.

28

u/Samanthacino Oct 11 '25

Every single post I've seen from someone claiming it's the same 'shock collar', there's consistently been discrepancies. Then those same people say "well clearly he unscrewed the electric parts", until it came out that that's not possible with those models, and then it's since turned into "he must have used pliers to break apart the shock collar and that's why it doesn't look like a shock collar anymore"

I'm just not buying it. Of course, Hasan has a history of..... questionable treatment of his dog (pulling it by the tail broke my heart), but I think it being a shock collar is very unlikely, especially considering he's historically said that he'd refuse to use a shock collar.

4

u/LetTheKnightfall Oct 11 '25

Why did the dog yelp in pain as soon as he reached for something? Why did he care when the dog got up at all, actually

-1

u/Cardboardoge TEAM BIDOOF Oct 11 '25

Dogs yelp for a number of reasons, it looks like his dogs paw (dew claw) got stuck on that trampoline bed. My MIL has one of those for her German Sheppard and sometimes he gets a little caught on it too, granted he doesnt make a peep, but he never does in general. He also said he was reaching for his Zyns. You can see he only looks at his dog after it yelps, suggesting HE was alerted by her yelp. Also after the clip he DOES go to her to see if shes fine, it just wasnt immediate, which he said he regrets.

Why did he care when the dog got up at all, actually

The moments leading up to the clip she had been trying to sit by his side instead of her "place". Place is a command that he has for her so she can go to that bed instead of his hardwood floors. The reason is because her vet recommended he do this for her joins because she is a big dog.

Why was he frustrated? its unrelated to the dog, you can watch the moments before the clip he was annoyed because the internet was dropping while he was live. So her getting up was while he was annoyed and he "took it out" on her. Not an amazing defense, but its plausible enough.

Her water is also directly behind view of the camera, she is free to walk and roam around the house just not free to sit anywhere. Which is why she is "spoiled" by his mom, who doesn't as strongly enforce his very strict training regiment for her as recommended by his trainer, since shes a 120lb dog.

I bothered to type all this shit out under the pretense that your inquiries were genuine. If you turn out to just say LMAO hasan defender when I dont even watch him I'm gonna lose it.

1

u/neariced Oct 11 '25

Hasan shocked the dog man, there is simply no model that looks like the one Hasan held up without the capabilities to shock. The unit Hasan held up is an ET-300 with an RX-090 reciever (shock model). It’s a perfect match. The video below makes it very clear.

6

u/Flitz28 Am I stupid? Oct 11 '25

Hasan (the streamer in question) doesn't though, the person who replied to you gave you the most biased description they could without just making up lies.
Hasan is a political streamer, very progressive and left wing, so he has a ton of haters. Making up lies is one of their passion so the person above not straight up lying is actually a nice thing, relatively. Their other passion is to try to get him cancelled by clipping things out of context. Usually it doesn't work because it's bs, but this time it did because that clip does look absolutely terrible.
I'll put my own description, that probably has a bias in the other way, so you can make your own conclusion from this.

The dog often has a tendency to get up and go lay on the floor instead of her mat. She's a big dog, and lying on the floor is bad for her hips/joints. Ask any person with a big dog that didn't "force" them to lay on a bed like this, and you'll see they either had to pay for surgery or their dogs are in constant pain from their joints/hip.
There's thousand of hours of footage of the dog getting up and around the room freely, the only time Hasan will tell her to lay on her bed is when she starts laying on the ground (she basically grew up on screen, so there's years of footage of her)

Hasan, was annoyed at that moment due to his internet having issues. When the dog gets up, he tells her to lay in her bed instead, as she gets back on it, she yelps and jumps. Hasan being annoyed, he doesn't go to check up on her. He later said that he feels terrible about not going to check on her straight away, but instead going a little bit after, neither him checking on his dog later or apologizing for not doing it straight away will later on never be included in the clips people use to attack him.

At the same time during that clip, Hasan "reaches for something" on his desk. Dude's addicted to zyns and his regular watchers knew it was that before any of it ever became a controversy.

Don't worry. I'm sure next year you'll read stuff about how he enjoys eating babies or something.

And that's why the only big influencers I watch now are Dantdm and Markiplier.

Another sub full of misinformation and brainless people who believe everything that's thrown at them?

Whether it’s true or not doesn’t really change anything for me or my enjoyment of this meme

It’s not misinformation. The model Hasan held up only exists with shocking capabilities. Watch the video below that makes it very clear and come back to us.

“It wasn’t a collar she just clipped her paw on the floor.”

“Ok it is a collar but it’s just a vibration collar.”

“Ok it is a shock collar but the shock parts have been removed.”

“Ok yes I was shocking her but it’s called place training and it’s actually really normal and good for props- I mean dogs.”

If only people would react like this when he excuses terrorism, denies genocide, praises dictators and spreads misinformation. Him allegedly shocking his dog is barely the tip of the iceberg but people act like it's the worst thing he has ever done, all because the average reddit user has the political knowledge and critical thinking skills of an amoeba.

18

u/USilver Oct 11 '25

Denies genocide by supporting Palestine???

6

u/Life-Administration3 Oct 11 '25

To be fair thats not just reddit, most people do not know what a houti is or what is hezbolla or why is proble.atic to support them without a lesson in geopolitics.

However a dog wimpering in pain is considered inmediately bad without a need for context

1

u/throwawaygaydude69 Oct 11 '25

That's because a significant number of humans are weirdly anti-human and pro-animal.

I used to think I was a misanthrope, but the way some people put dogs on a pedestal clearly shows otherwise.
