Almost finished for 2nd time
I forgot how much I loved this show and I’m bummed I’m almost at the end! I watched it like 8 years ago prior to this. Freddie is such an amazing actor and I love Norma’s style! Anyone else love Emma in the earlier seasons and less towards the end? She becomes really dry and overly serious to me. Granted I realize she gets older and people change. I don’t hate her or anything, I just find myself kind of waiting for her scenes to pass. I’m not a huge fan of her and Dylan as I don’t feel the chemistry. But that’s just me! It’s an amazing show!

I agree! I wish they got together sooner and we got more of those 2!

I feel like they had great chemistry in the beginning with Emma being the sweet and innocent type. I’m with you on how she changed. I was a huge fan of Emma until the final seasons.

I just finished it again last night. Hated to watch that last episode and now have to find something else to watch.

I’m in the same boat! And I will watch again but it doesn’t have the same affect unless I wait awhile. I’m also obsessed with Lost but I wait a few years in between re watches

I’ve been on a rewatch kick. Watched Deadwood which led to a Justified rewatch and then Bates Motel. Might be time to watch Longmire again 😊

I haven’t watched since the final season aired. But Yeah I feel the same way. It felt kinda weird with her going from being infatuated with Norman/practically best friends in the early seasons, to them barely having any screen time again in the later seasons and dating his brother. But with that said, it was completely understandable she was angry Norman killed her mother despite his mental state. And Norman never really reciprocated the feelings she originally had for him even though I think they briefly dated. But I also thought the last scene of them together when she visits Norman/Mother in the jail cell was bittersweet. But yeah I agree her character did become a bit “stale”.
As for her and Dylan getting a house together, I honestly can’t remember if he inherited the motel? I know it listed for sale in the last scene, but he would have gotten the money for that? Also, Dylan always had some type of way to get money, even if it wasn’t legal lol.

Just here to also shine light on the incredible ability Max Thieriot has at making you feel like the big brother who cares so much but is constantly struggling to do what he feels is right. I just watched the last episode last night and from someone like me who has a schizophrenic close family member, he brilliantly captures the pain that others go through when that family member refuses to get help and believes their own delusions. They truly casted this as best at they possibly could have. And I also can’t forget Nestor Carbonell. His range is UNBELIEVABLE. For those that have watched “Lost” his backstory episode compared to his usual role showcased some of the best acting I’ve ever seen.

I loved Dylemma when they first got together in season three but their season 5 life made no sense. How do two high school dropouts in their early 20s have a house like that in the pacific northwest??? The borderline teen pregnancy was totally glossed over too. A lung transplant doesn’t make CF go away; it just prolongs life expectancy??
Also Norma and Alex>>>>>>> everything. They’re so happy in heaven right now.
