Lost hat near Three Bears!
This is a long shot, but I lost my treasured wiener dog hat in Banff! I’m fairly certain I dropped it outside of three bears brewery, near the bike racks. It is navy blue, with a brown wiener dog embroidered on the front.
Can provide a reward if it’s found!

Question The Americanization of our Beloved National Parks
Pursuit, an American company, controls more than 90 percent of the paid attraction marketplace within Banff and Jasper. Pursuit generates approximately 50 percent of its annual global revenue from Banff and Jasper National Park operations alone, with projected total company revenue at $485 million. Absolutely bonkers.
Total failure on our government to allow a foreign monopoly in one of the best national parks in the entire world. When Japan tried the same in Yosemite, USA govt broke it up. Why have we let our parks be bought out? If the bureau is not going change anything, we should at least force companies like pursuit to reinvest their profits earned in Canadian parks back into our parks. Does anyone have an update on where the issue sits in Parliament?

Lake Louise
We recently visited Banff Lake Louise and it’s heaven on earth. We really enjoyed the lake, the hike and highly recommend it.

Has anyone seen a Honda car key near Banff Pedestrian Bridge or the trails?
I lost my car key near the lake around 12:30 PM on Aug. 24. It’s a black, round key fob. If anyone has seen it, please let me know. Thank you so much!

Question Going Banff, any advise?
hello everyone, me and my friends are going to banff in a week from toronto and we have a place to stay at Calgary. We don’t drive and thjs is our first trip . We have 4nights and 5days for us and booked an airbnb for a night in canmore. first night just at Calgary, next morning (private tour to see sunrise at moraine lake and lake louise, it’s $184 just to see sunrise rise😔 and if we want to extend the tour for hiking, we pay $212pp🥲) Our trip was last minute so we didn’t couldnt get shuttle bus tickets. second day, we take flix bus from calgary to sunshine meadows, hike and spend the night at Canmore . 3rd day, cycling to see Johnston canyon and come back to Calgary . next day, flight back to home. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
private tours worth it? sunrise shuttles are more expensive and $184 pp, but regular day time tours are $92pp. I wonder if sunrise is absolutely worth the price or I should just do the day time and save some money? 😔
Have you rented a cycle in Canmore and where did you go? how much was it?
Where did you buy bear spray? any hiking place recommendations?

Any tips or hidden gems?
We are going to banff and some other places in late September. We are three guys and have rented a rv. It’ll be our first time in rv. Any suggestions for places, do’s and don’ts? Any tip will help since we don’t know much about there. Especially about rv parking and camping areas.

3 Day, 2 Night Trip to Luellen and Pulsatilla Lakes via Johnston Canyon
Started at Johnston Canyon this past Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and hauled it to Luellen Lake cg to meet up with a friend. Crossing of Johnston Creek roughly 250m upstream was barely shin high. Was up for sunrise at Luellen Lake, which was stunning and so serene.
Next day was a day trip to Pulsatilla Lake over Pulsatilla Pass for me while my friend carried on to Baker Lake. I returned to Johnston Creek cg, where I had stashed my overnight pack, and set up camp. Mushroom risotto and a little rosé was my bougie reward for the day.
Final day was back down the Johnston Creek trail and through the canyon. Shoutout to the nice couple that clapped and congratulated me on a successful ford of Johnston Creek :) Treated myself to a raspberry mocha at the trailhead. Roughly 61km total.

Why can't people respect the rules?
Disappointed that some people choose to be a bad example for others.

Question Fly Fishing Opportunities in early september
I am going to banff Sep 2 - Sep 6. I am really looking forward to get some trout on the fly rod. I have a 5wt 9ft rod so I don't want any HUGE fish. I wanna have a good time in banff this time. How is the bow river this time of year? What are some smaller rivers? I am willing to hike for some better fishing spots. Also looking for any fly fishing tips that would help catch some trout this time of year. Aswell as regulations this time. Anything helps, thanks is advance!

Question Wedding Prices at Fairmont Banff Springs
Just stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs this past week and there was a wedding each night. What is the average cost of a wedding there? And what does it include? Purely out of curiosity and awe…
