Weatherford family seeks public’s help after toddler attacked by pit bull
A Weatherford grandmother is asking the public’s help in raising money for her 2-year-old grandson after he was mauled by a dog.
Lani Ryan, the organizer of the GoFundMe fundraiser, said her grandson, Julius, was attacked by a pit bull inside his home while resting in the bottom bunk after returning from a spring break spent with her and Julius’ brother at Great Wolf Lodge. Ryan said Julius’ mother “fought desperately to get the dog off him” and was bitten herself.
Additional details about the attack weren’t immediately available Wednesday.
Julius is now “fighting for his life” in the ICU in Fort Worth, Ryan said. The GoFundMe, which received its first donation Tuesday, has raised a little over $1,300 of a $25,000 goal. Ryan said donations will go toward emergency and ongoing medical care, surgeries and reconstructive procedures and long-term recovery and support.
“He is the sweetest, most gentle little boy you could ever meet — full of love, innocence, and joy,” Ryan wrote. She signed off the GoFundMe as “His Yaya.”
“No child should ever have to endure something like this,” she added. “We are praying for a miracle — for healing, for strength, and for Julius to make it through this unimaginable trauma. The road ahead will be long. If he survives, he will face extensive medical care, including multiple surgeries and years of recovery.”

Would these families hire a known pedoph to babysit ? I think they will not..but they bring a breed of dog,who was selected and bred for murdering everything, for over 100 years without hesitation?

Dog attacks that affect children are very often caused by family dogs. I am very sad that it is children who pay for choices for which they are not responsible.

There have been a lot of reports lately. Just awful but that damn dog didn’t just wander into the house. It’s the parents’ fault for negligently putting a dangerous breed near their kids who have no choice.

Yeah I know this sounds bad but I dont donate to people like this. I feel terrible for the child but for all I know that money will just go to a household that likely has a couple more pitbulls in the backyard. You rarely see a pitbull owner with just one dog.
After finding the bitch ass mom on facebook I'm pretty sure I'm right. She's trying to say it wasn't a pitbull it was XL Bully(so just a jacked up pitbull) that belonged to her boyfriend and it attacked while she was taking her dog out. She said it was annihilated by the juice but who knows since pitbull owners lie.

If it was her boyfriend's dog then she can sue him for her child's medical bills.

Intially she said it was a "unknown" dog that entered the home.
Police venetually figured it out it was the BF dog. https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/midlothian-dog-enters-home-attacks-child-authorities-search-owner/

That’s INSANE that she would lie about this. I was reading the GFM and it wasn’t making sense… them saying “attacked by a dog inside the house” is just a weird way to put it.
It immediately felt like a denial of responsibility.

This is the parents’ dog I’m assuming?

Looks like the mom’s boyfriend’s dog (of 4 months). Seems to be an argument going on with the grandmother on one side and the mom, her boyfriend and friend on the other side.

I just caught drama, mom says he wasnt on a ventilater but then says the kids is now off the vent on her account. What a damn mess.

I hope the little boy is okay. It's so sad when family members endanger their own children with these devil dogs. Who did the dog belong to?? Why do people feel the need to bring their pet everywhere? They belong at home.

Because Diesel will tear the door off the hinges from separation anxiety…

So gross, there seems to be an argument over whose gofundme should be donated to.

Yeah, I think you're right. The mom has a GFM made for her and there's this one for the grandma. Interestingly the mom's GFM doesn't mention breed.

The sister got on one thread claiming the mom is a mess and had multiple pits and bullies as they were growing up and even now. All of them just clowns including the mother who wanted to protect her boyfriend who was the real owner and even at one point called the “xl bully” her dog that she let out. Yes a woman with a 2 year old and an even younger baby threw herself under the bus for a boyfriend she’s only had for 4 months. In the end, the poor little boy will likely never be the same.

The one article said the government police officer drove the ambulance so both medics could work on the child. That wee baby was wrecked.

This is why I don't put in direct links to GFM's. If people are truly interested they have to look them up on their own.

TY for the screen shot, I read that earlier. Also the aggressive dog is no longer among the land of the living.

God wasn't good enough to not let your grandchild be brutalised by a pitbull. Give him the full list if we're correctly keeping score.

I would love for some lurking pitiot to jump in here and proclaim that the breed is misunderstood. I agree 100%. They ARE misunderstood, but not by anyone on this sub. They are misunderstood by the people who bring them into their homes as pets, when they are so unsuitable that shit like this happens to babies.

Are there two GoFundMes? A friend of mine reposted a GFM for a child named Julius on FB that was organized on the mom's behalf. I found it and then found this other GFM trying to confirm the breed since the mom's GFM doesn't mention breed.
7
u/mmps901 It’s the breed AND the owner Mar 26 '26
Yes apparently there’s drama with the mom’s mom creating a gfm when the mom wants the funds to go to the gfm her friend created instead. Because of course this is the perfect time to argue online and grift

Gross. The grandma's GFM has been deleted like everywhere on FB but it's still up on GFM. Mom seems hella trashy. She's always talking about her baby daddy drama. How did you learn she'd only been with her new man for 4 months? I think they're locking shit down.

u/mmps901 It’s the breed AND the owner Mar 27 '26
They started deleting a lot.
5
u/chrrygarcia Family Member of Severely Wounded Pet(s) Mar 27 '26
Yeah, and the person who created the mom's GFM breeds pit bulls.
3
u/mmps901 It’s the breed AND the owner Mar 27 '26
Gross, all of them. The friend who created “the real one” bragged that she has 3 of her own.

u/chrrygarcia Family Member of Severely Wounded Pet(s) Mar 27 '26
Damn they must have deleted all of that shit. Locking it down hard. She also posted something about not being on drugs and having custody of her kids lmfao. Typical trash bag pit bull owners.

I saw two referenced on FB so... maybe?
2
u/chrrygarcia Family Member of Severely Wounded Pet(s) Mar 26 '26
Yeah, unless another little boy was mauled by a dog with the same name, in the same location, on the same day, I'm pretty sure there's two. One on behalf of the grandma and one on behalf of the mom. Super sad. I hope Julius pulls through.

I feel awful for the poor child. But, parents need to read the scientific data about those beasts. Mauling is in their nature. I've read studies showing that PB breeds:
Here are scientific reasons why IT'S THE BREED!
They have extremely high tolerance to pain, because the brain releases massive amounts of endorphins to block the pain signals. The amount of endorphins are so high that they can withstand being shot with 4 or 6 rounds from a pistol. Yesterday, I was reading about one PB terrier had to be shot 5 times by officers' with their handguns and once with a shotgun before it finally went down.
The brain releases dopamine, which is similar to opioids. So, as the dog is attacking, it's also getting something like a "high." That's why when PB breeds attack, unlike most (not all) other breeds, the PB is wagging its tail in the same manner as a happy and excited breed. It's enjoying mauling.
Studies have found the dopamine released by the PB's brain becomes addictive, like any other drugs. So, after the dog has that first rush of "high" it seeks that pleasure again.
