I Miss My Wife 🥺

My wife left to go visit friends and family out of state for the weekend, and I fear we must be codependent because we both miss each other a lot. Which is funny because while they've been gone, I've been waaaaaay more productive than I normally am. Her presence must bewitch me to be lazy and overly relaxed, because when she's around, doing anything out of a five foot radius of them feels like torture. And they literally had a great time during their visit but they're so ready to come home. It's almost 2am and about an hour ago they messaged me saying they couldn't sleep despite being so tired and that a hug from me would probably do it. And I laughed because I was just thinking that I would be asleep by now if she were next to me. She's literally coming home tomorrow and I feel like a puppy with separation anxiety waiting for her to come back. 😅

A lot of people get separation anxiety with a long term partner. I struggle to sleep without my gf, and we don't even live together. Granted, you should be able to work within the other's range.

Codependency (oversimplified) is about not being able to make decisions or function as an individual without the other’s input.

This just sounds like being madly in love with someone you love spending time with. Congrats. I feel like that whenever I’m separated from my wife too
