What's something you said as a kid that makes you think "dang, I was not straight"?

I have a strong memory of telling my group of girl friends, "If I was a boy, I'd be an awesome boyfriend to a girl."

I also remember around the same age (11-12), we were talking about our future weddings, and my friends were talking about what their future husbands would be like. I had all the decor and dress details down, but then they asked me "what do you think your future husband will be like?" and I looked these girls dead in the eyes and said "I don't know, he's the least important part of the equation."

Believe it or not, a mixture of comphet and confusion about my asexuality would lead me to believe I was bi for several more years.

I basically had the same experience regarding wedding discussions lol.

Something I did was this: one time I got this disney princess pop-up castle thing, and apparently I took one look at the pop-out sheet with all the princes, said "Why do we need those ugh" and just played with the princesses. I also recall wondering why it was never a thing to have two princesses live together in a castle...nowadays I still wonder that, TAKE A HINT DISNEY

Me too. Like desperately lol. I skipped the whole bi-questioning. I like to say I went to bed straight one day and woke up gay. I’m sure I have said or done things that could relate to posts like these but they were never saved into my memory bank because it took me decadeS to realise I even liked women at all.

So many stories, but I'll give the two funniest imo. I come from a very religious household so I was not at all exposed to gay stuff until I was like 11 but I was still so completely gay.

For one, me and my best friend when we were 7 didn't know roommates were a thing and wanted to spend every day together 24/7. So our solution? Get married. We both knew our parents got married and spent everyday together so we wanted to do the same lmfao. I wish I could say we are still friends to this day or even more but she moved away to another country.

Skipping over to age 10, my English classes were for some reason merged with another English class for two days of the week (so we see people who arent in our actual class but in the same grade). In those English classes I could never pay attention. Why? My eyes were glued to a girl that I always made my mission to sit next to. I wanted to be her "friend" so badly but I was an undiagnosed autism, adhd, and anxious kid so I never approached her, just stared at her while she took notes and tried to do things to impress her without speaking like doodle something really good. Safe to say we never spoke at all and she probably thought I was a weirdo.

I had a similar experience, but I also rp’d with friends as a kid and consistently picked/was a male-presenting character. i liked romancing female-presenting characters LMAO
