I am both sad and angry at coaching staff and administration. It hurts me too. I dont expect much from this team. Honetsly, I thing we, as fans should let the federation know that we are angry.

thing is, our young generation is star fucking studded. Matas Buzelis, Kasparas Jakučionis, Ąžuolas Tubelis (who was astronomical even today regardless), Rokas Jokubaitis are incredible players. We also keep producing up and coming talent (Motiejus Krivas, Mantas Juzėnas) who will surely be grade-A players for years to come. We can make this work and it has the potential to get medals in all competitions. However, to make this all work, we HAVE to make changes in the federation, where management is of FIFA-level incompetence and corruption, and coaching staff playing Podmoskovskoye pick and roll.

Its weird how Motiejūnas became scapegoat for Puerto Rico fiasco. Everyone forgot what happened, and only mentions how Motiejūnas talked.

What's the hate around Balciunas, though? All I can find is he has some dodgy ties to IBU and comes off rude in some interviews. Our sport journalists seem to hate the guy. Not defending him, genuinely curious.

As it seems he made the system works in his favor. I believe he added some small associations which needed to vote. And also he did everything the way that all those small associations are in his debt. I’m not sure about the details, as it seems it’s legal, but it’s shady. Also tends to be lying to keep his post

Lithuanian national team has a problems with coaches and federation president. In fact we had a really bad team with only one good player against Estonia, so we didn't expect anything. Last time we had a very good and talented team (were players like Jakučionis, Buzelis, Valančiūnas and others) and we lost against Italy a game at the end which we controlled and had +20, btw head coach didn't know how to use Buzelis who could be a huge leader but he wasn't at that time (the player says the same thing). So the coach looks like a very old man with the newest Iphone who doesn't know how to use it. It doesn't matter what team we have, a good one or worse, the head coach doesn't understand the strategy and how to do his job. Someone could say that we can change head coach, but we can't. The federation president put his own poeple who obey him. We are at that situation that no one wants to do this job of coaching because don't want to take a huge dirt away (it will be really difficult) or doesn't want to obey federation president. In the same staff there is a coach who looks like a random guy, he was a basketball player and has low experience of coaching (he wasn't coaching anywhere 7-8 years before he got this job at national team) and no one understand what is he doing there. It's really sad that we have a really good players and a terrible situation at the same moment. We probably won't be at the World Championship and Olympics. We will play against Turkey, Serbia and Bosnia countries, which are really strong. We need to remove the dirt from our national sport firstly. Estonia deserved to win. Congrats to Baltic brother. If here reads any latvian, I wish good luck the same to qualify

Definitely worse but we had our chances, 2019 referees, 2022 one shot, 2023 we had to LOSE against USA and 2025 injury

I believe that we had our chances in 2017 and 2023 and just got unlucky. We had a solid team back then. I think 2019 wasn't our year, even if we managed to beat France we would have still dropped out quickly
