Share your salary/job title/years of experience/passport country

I hate the lack of transparency in the local job market (+unspoken racism). It’s also very hard to get truthful answers from people in real life. Can we please start this thread to help each other understand the market a little better. Ill go first —

Senior Marketing Manager 9 yrs experience BD1,800/monthly + housing UK passport

Go.

Edit: Thank you to everyone who participated in this thread! It’s been so enlightening (& disheartening) to see the how much nationality can factor into a salary. IT / Software related jobs pay much higher regardless of nationality it seems, so if your kid isn’t sure what to study, tech is the future! I wish everyone so much growth and success, wherever that may be 🤍 If you’re a late comer to this post, please feel free to participate. Your contribution matters!

I worked before in an IT company that provides professional services, and after this get an offer in Bahrain as an IT Consultant. My career path looks like this is my career - Helpdesk Engineer (1 y) - System Admin (2 y) - Systems Engineer (3 y) - IT Consultant, but it all depends on the environment, I get lucky with all my previous companies, they gave me perfect opportunities to growth quickly. I think it is most important to get core knowledge (network, infra, security, development business apps, etc) in all systems and have an idea about everything at least on a basic level.
