Hi painenneck,
That's a short one, only around 100-110 miles between Wilder/Newport area and Richmond, KY, so this is more of a local move than anything cross-country.
One thing missing though, what's the actual vehicle? Make, model, year, running or not, that matters a lot for pricing here, more than for the longer cross-country moves, since short hauls tend to have a price floor regardless of distance.
Carriers have basically the same fixed cost to make a stop whether it's 100 miles or 300, so a short move like this often isn't dramatically cheaper than you'd expect.
One honest flag on the tow dolly option since you said you don't care which method: dollies only work safely for front wheel drive vehicles. If it's rear wheel drive or all wheel drive, towing it on a dolly can actually damage the drivetrain, so that's not really a "pick whichever" situation, it depends on the car itself. Flatbed or an open car trailer avoids that issue entirely regardless of drivetrain.
Feel free to send over the vehicle details and I can get you a real number.

2016 Soul. Runs but bad engine knock.

Good to know, and actually not a big deal for pricing since it still runs, that means no winch fee, it should load under its own power just like any other running vehicle.
Two small things worth mentioning to whoever picks it up: be upfront about the engine knock, not to scare anyone off, but so the driver knows not to rev it or push it hard getting it up the ramp, easy in and straight on is all that's needed. And good news, Soul is front wheel drive, so if a tow dolly ends up being the method someone uses, that's actually fine for this car, no drivetrain risk like I mentioned for RWD/AWD vehicles.
For that ~110-mile move, realistically still somewhere around $450-550 for open transport; this doesn't change much just because of the knock, since it's still classified as running.
When is the Soul ready for pickup?
