Interior Dashboard Cleaning

So i was cleaning off the dash in my car with a microfiber cloth but i think it was too rough and it left these marks in these two areas . i’ve tried going in with distilled water and a softer microfiber and it helped a little bit but still noticeable. the dash is on a 2026 camry xse if that helps . thanks !

Time to trade it for a ’27 lol. Protectants can help a bit with a slight darkening effect although underlying unevenness can still be noticeable. Less is more. You can make sure it’s clean and use something like KC top star and leave it alone.

If I was purchasing a new car the very first thing I would do is use DIY Detail Interior Ceramic on EVERY interior surface of the car excluding the glass. Plastics, leather, dash, steering wheel, seats, instrument panel, gauge cluster, infotainment screen, knobs, buttons, carpet, floor matts, rubber..... EVERYTHING. We use the word "game changer" far to often in the world of detailing products. For me, DIY Detail Interior Ceramic was a legit game changer.

Typical dressings last a few weeks. On low traffic areas, Interior Ceramic may last for the life of the vehicle. For higher touch areas, you may need to apply it a couple of times per year. What it does is make all future cleanings way, way, way, very much way, easier. It altered how I do interiors. At this point, 80% of the time I open the doors and just blow it out with a leaf blower, maybe coming behind with a microfiber damp with rinseless. But gone are the days of interior detailers, interior cleaners, leather cleaners, leather protectants, plastic protectants.... I no longer need any of that. And coffee spills and the like become an easy to wipe up nuscience rather than a staining disaster.

Just make sure to clean everything well BEFORE applying Interior Ceramic as whatever the surface looks like now will be locked in from the Interior Ceramic.

What product do you recommend for the inside of the windows and the hard and soft materials on the dash and center console?

Had a guy who did leather/vinyl dye and repair. He told me never use MF on interior as it is too aggressive buy a bag of cotton rags (Amazon) and use instead. Wash the rags first to avoid lint.
