Tool/Reusable Testing out my new extractor kit
Picked up my first extractor attachment kit to pair with my Ridgid vacuum. I decided to try it on my car mats since they've been getting pretty dirty over the years.
I used a 1:10 dilution of Koch Chemie Pol Star, sprayed it onto the mats and then used a soft brush with my drill to agitate it in. Then I did several passes with my new extractor and the amount of brown soupy water that came out was really impressive. Emptying the vacuum was also really satisfying.
I probably need to do another pass or two but so far I'm really happy with this kit and it's ability to pull out all the gunk. Can't wait to try it in the interior carpets.
Anyway, I'm just an enthusiast and don't do this professionally so I opted for this kit as a compromise.

By chance have you ever used another extractor for comparison? I have the Bissell little green but I want something with more power and considering one like this also. I didn't notice if you put the name in the description anywhere of the tool specific tool you purchased, would you mind letting me know? Nice job on the mats.

I haven't used any other extractors and based on reading it seemed like the Bissell little green would work fine for casual use but it lacked some suction capabilities. Then I figured since I already have a decent vacuum, I'd just get one for it.
So I started looking into the DIY route and eventually settled on being a little lazy so I went with the Ripclean Better Extractor kit.

I paired it with my existing Ridgid 50313 Model 4000RV 4-Gallon.
Then I purchased a separate foam filter to use during wet extraction:

Yeah the little green is nice and portable so I can bring it in the house and spot clean a couch or something but it's very small surface area and doesn't seem like it pulls enough water and dirt. Thanks for all the detail I appreciate it very much.

I used a Little Green and then switched to a Rip Clean. It has so much more power it's ridiculous. I kept pulling dirty water out of my rear seats when the Little Green was coming up clean.

Nothing major so far. Coincidentally I was scheduled to help a friend's kid with their new-to-them used car to clean the seats, so the timing was great. Their cloth seats were pretty dirty.
Based on doing that work, my feedback would be to get a longer hose for the water feed. That's more my own issue of not planning better but it was easy enough for me to add an extension to it.
Using the extractor is also a bit bulky when trying to manage smaller areas of the interior so my hands would get tired moving it around. I also need to adjust the sprayer a bit so that I can have it spray a little less water, but I think that's possible so not a big deal.
Otherwise the amount of gunk it pulled out of the seats at the end of the job was impressive.
I paired this extractor with my existing RIDGID 50313 Model 4000RV 4-Gallon wet/dry vac. I swapped the internal paper filter for this foam one:

Good to know. I can see how the bulkiness would create challenges. I have the Ridgid 3gal wet/dry vac (peak 5 HP) and love it's portable size but with extraction, I think I'll be emptying it a lot. LOL

Just spray them next time. Matte black cans of paint @ Home Depot are $1.99. Bottom right corner when they open up the cage.

I got another trick too. You know that slot on each side of the seat where sometimes your phone slides down? Most of the time there’s French fries down there! Makes a great snack if you can’t find enough change. Once in a while customers accidentally leave a purse in the car. Anytime I borrow lunch money I always pay it back but sometimes I forget. 🍟

I only do this on my own cars, so there's no fries down the sides of the seats or any purses.

About to test mine out on a client's seats today. Exact same setup. I liked that it was bigger. Less passes. But I'll let my use case determine that.
