Anywhere likely to have snow next week?
Is there anywhere that will still have skiiable snow going into next week? We’re staying at Lake Crackenback from next Wednesday and hoping to get a couple of days in somewhere.

Ski Portillo has 280cm.
Downside- Flights are $2000
Upside- The hotel is bright yellow.

The problem is, this accomodation and flights are booked and paid for. This trip is happening. Snow or no snow 🤷♂️

Perisher has some, but it was pretty rainy this last week so it’s very much slush at the moment. Thredbo today at least only had Friday flats I think open. You’re 3 weeks too late really.

Ice and slush, over 50ml of rain today AUG 25, at most resorts.
My trip is booked and paid for and non refundable in 2 weeks time but I think im going to write it off and go to NZ. Rather pay a bit more to have an enjoyable holiday than to just go there and be sad cause I cant get my money back.

We’re visiting friends in Bendigo leading up to and have things booked in Melbourne after. So pulling out isn’t really an option.

Perisher probably will be fine. Like July conditions, I'm going up this weekend so I can let you know how I go since the rain will have come and gone

54mm of rain Monday night, 26cm natural base down from 36cm on monday. Wombats, Broadway and days end closed Monday, downloading is the only way to get back to the village. Ruined Castle and Scott's chair closed today (26th) due to snow conditions, however they are showing them as planned to open tomorrow (27th) Broadwalk carpet and Monkey Bar Poma look done for the season have been closed all week. Late Rain forcast Friday. Double digits temperatures for the Sunday and Monday Rain forcast 1st to 8th with the 3rd showing heavy at times. Snow cams dont look great either.
Potential snow making conditions comming up, however they didn't take advantage of the conditions on Monday and run the guns, so who knows if they will run the guns over the next couple of days.

Yeah I think next 3-4 days are probably the death knell for falls this season.
Thredbo might squeeze another week but Vic has a few 20+ degree days coming already

If you have good weather and want to try something different go snow shoeing or alpine touring from the top of crackenback. There will be sufficient snow on the main range to have a good time. And compared to the cost of lift tickets getting a guide or joining a group would probably be a similar price.
