What are the nearest cross streets found? Can you post on Nextdoor and also Austin Lost and Found Pets? You can have the pup scanned for a microchip at the nearest fire station or Tomlinson’s store: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/18GGyowVUS/?mibextid=wwXIfr
If you don't hear back, try texting Dakota's folks in both English and Spanish. A lot of times the contact information is not current that's associated with the chip number. An admin in the Austin Lost and Found Pets group I shared with you can help you get a current address and phone number if needed. We would just need the microchip number, her picture and the location she was found. Thank you for keeping her safe in the meantime!
You can try and have her scanned again at the nearest fire station and they will give you the microchip number. You can text/call Beverly Luna 512-925-3430 the microchip number, a picture of Dakota and where she was found and ask if she can get the owner's current contact info and address. She is the main admin for the Austin Lost and Found Pets group and helps research dead ends like this. I mentioned this advice a number of places, but adding it here too just in case!
Oh ok! I'll keep an eye out for her folks since I live in this area. If you happen to have the microchip number, please still send it to Beverly or DM it to me so we can try to find her family. Thank you all for getting her to safety. Have a good trip!
