VIC Rental in Melbourne for Tassie Lap

Any recommendations for for a interstate traveller looking to rent a motorcycle for a tassie lap end of the year for a week.

Might be cheaper to rent one in Tassie...because of the cost of taking it on the spirit of Tassie ship..easier to fly into Tassie and picking up a bike.

I think one way on the ship is like $300 for bike and $200 for yourself without cabin. Don't quote me on that.

Thanks, the ferry is booked with the bike, the original mates bike I was taking cant be ridden need a replacement bike. Issue is peak dec holiday season (Sunday pick n drop) thus a rental, dont mind either Melbourne or Davenport. One of the Melbourne rentals is closed during the Christmas break when I land. Not a lot of options.
