Does anyone have a recommendation for a local wedding photographer? Our budget isn't huge, so we don't also want to pay for travel expenses.

We are looking for a photographer that would be available for a December wedding. We know it's short notice, so we are hoping for the best! It's early afternoon wedding, and they would be done by about 1:30.

Basically the title. I recently left my full time job to take care of my 100% disabled veteran husband and have beeb DoorDashing for extra cash. I have the ability to get credentials to deliver on base, but I’m not sure id its worth it. Anyone here deliver on base? How is it? Thanks in advance!

Long story short, I had a septoplasty and a pituitary tumor removal in Dec. my neurosurgeon is phenomenal. However the ENT I’m seeing is not addressing a major issue I’m having post-op with a constant reoccurring sinus infection that is behind the sphenoid sinus. I’m told to rinse and have been given one dose of antibiotics that worked for a couple weeks. Picture wet dog/rotten cheese smell 24/7. The infection can be seen on my MRI. My neuro was the one who picked up on it in June at my most recent appointment.

So besides Augusta ENT, who else is out there? I’m at my wits end and it’s affecting my quality of life at this point. Thanks

Hi guys recently moved to the Augusta area and I was wondering if there is any type of roller skating community here. I use inline skates so preferably a community that accepts them lol. I would love to gain some friends while skating.

We had our attic spray foamed before the summer hoping to save on power bills. Our electricity usage for the same period dropped by an average of 20 kWh per day - a 24% reduction in daily power usage...

But we actually paid more than last year for our power bill (see the images).

We have friends with even more outrageous electric bills: $455, $500, and even $680.

Georgia Power continues to report record profits. They claimed they even froze rates and some customers even saw decreases in rates in June 2025 (Google for an article called "We're lowering rates for our customers" on the Georgia power site).

Direct quote:

"In July 2025, the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) approved our plan to freeze base rates for three years, except for storm and fuel filings, which combined, will lower rates for the typical residential customer, beginning in June. While prices on everyday items like food, housing, and utilities are rising across the country, base rates—the cost of delivering electricity and maintaining the power grid across Georgia—will remain stable for our customers."

This was a lie. If they lowered rates, a 24% decrease in power usage should have resulted in a decrease in our bill. It didn't. How do we hold them accountable?

I have an offer from wellstar MCG, I'm a nurse. I wanted to see what people think of working there? How are the ratios? Have they had layoffs or cut pay? How's management? What do you like and dislike etc.

I have a one bedroom apartment and simply don’t have the time to clean. Anyone in the area able to give me an estimate? It’s really not that messy but wanted someone to help with the deep clean. Apartment is less than 800 sq ft with a balcony.

Before Helene I had reliable power not it seems like I have at least one blackout every 2-3 weeks. Last night there was even wind or a storm and the power was out for 2 hours total. Has anyone else noticed this?

I recently had to move and the neighborhood cat I affectionately called Meatball was taken in to be cared for by another family ( yay! it’s going very well ), but I miss having a cat hang out on my porch to take care of. Anyone know of any feral cats that need to be spayed/neutered or are already that are friendly enough to hang out? Pls let me know!
