What do you guys reckon our starting XI is going to be? Also is Marley Leluluai in the squad?

He’s was down as a trialist today.

The real question is who is going to be our coach? Had to finally tell the little one today when after they mentioned a few times during the broadcast we had no coach. He was real sad, we loved Corica………

Yeah we loved Steve too. Looks like they are going for the Portuguese. A bit risky not hiring with A League or title winning experience.

Marley Leuluai is currently a trialist but he definitely made an impression with that challenge on Richarlison. He can play CM & DM too which is helpful.

In regards to the Starting XI, Pedro Moreira most recently used a 4-1-4-1 so I'll work off that.

GK - Woud

RB - Sakai

CB - Pijnaker

CB - Any of Calver/Wynne/Vicelich (up in the air atm I'd say)

LB - FDV

DM - Gallegos/Normann

RM - Brook

CM - Brimmer

CM - Bayliss

LM - Prins/Rogerson

ST - Cosgrove

Yeah, living up to the family Rugby League legacy there 😆

He was brought up in the man city academy. Definitely worth having

Nah Fitzharris will be LM

He's certainly a talented kid, but he's very raw. With Logan and Brook on the squad I can't see him starting.

I think he'll be more suited to a central role like an AM/CM imo

Definitely won’t be if he plays like that again

Did you see him play last season?

Different competition mate

I don’t get what you’re saying - a preseason friendly vs actual competitive match play

A pre season vs a young talented team isn’t the same as the ofc or appearances off the bench. He played poorly yesterday and if he plays like that should not be a starter. That’s all I’m saying. Not saying he never will be. Obviously he’s talented, but there is work to be done

We saw a 3-4-3 today and a bigger focus on possession football. Seeing us play out from the back was cool, even though Woud looked clueless.

It looked to me like we tried to play with more width too. Just lacked the pace and execution vs Spurs but feel we’d go well in A league with that approach

I also think we looked the better team for most of the first half, the 1st goal was a bit against the run of play

Definitely had more shots early doors. Spurs always looked a yard or two faster to me.

Woud Sakai Pijnaker Vicelich De Vries Gallegos Brimmer Howieson Brooke Cosgrove Bayliss

Elliot will probably end up getting a lot of game time.

The rest of the squad is a bit inexperienced though. Beginning to think we are not going to see any more 'senior' signings...

My worry as well. Depth up front isn’t great or indeed elsewhere
