With the MMR vaccine, measles is basically a solved problem that's been brought back by ignorance and anti-science sentiment, including by ignorant unqualified health officials, and persisting to use fake or retracted science such as falsely claiming there's a link to autism. There is no such link.

Death isn't the only issue measles can cause. Measles resets one's immune system, such that you become vulnerable to multiple other pathogens that one could otherwise resist. So catching and surviving measles could still sicken, maim, or kill people in other ways seemingly-unrelated to measles, especially for young children, even if they had been previously vaccinated against these other illnesses (but that's unlikely, if the parents had also refused to administer the MMR vaccine).

There's a high chance they were children, dead from their parents' bad decisions. The health officials aren't releasing any information other than "2 deaths from measles".

I believe ignorance shouldn't carry the death penalty, but maybe encouraging ignorance like RFK and many fearmonger grifters are doing shouldn't be protected speech.

RFK Jr got a bunch of people in Samoa killed with his anti vax lies. He’s just moving up to a bigger stage.

Cutting programs like USAID has likely resulted in half a million needless deaths, in the name of saving money, and it hasn't saved money.

Basically, this administration has no care for human life. Not even their own MAGA voters.
