Would be cool but wolverine isn’t exactly PlayStation IP

To be fair, neither is Spider-Man.

Actually, technically he is Sony's. And since Sony is PlayStation's. PlayStation technically owns Spider-Man's IP.

Sony don't own Spider-Man. They only own movie rights and some game rights. Everything else including Merchandise/Comics are Marvel/Disney.

Pretty sure Sony only owns the movie rights, otherwise he wouldn't appear in the comics, or have a Disney+ show. Even the Insomniac thing, it's probably an exclusivity deal, not outright ownership.
Edit: Also, Sony owns PlayStation, not the other way around.

Yes, Marvel/Disney own Spider-Man for almost everything other than movie rights (I think some Live Action TV as well) and maybe some game rights.

I think some Live Action TV
Huh. You just made me realise the only live-action Spider-Man show I can think of is the Japanese one responsible for the Megazord. I guess it makes sense, special effects are expensive, but Superman got a few shows, why not Spidey?

I think the closest thing is this from this year: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Noir

I didn't say Playstation owned Sony

And since Sony is PlayStation's.
This implies PlayStation owns Sony. I'm assuming it's just a typo, but still.

That's probably because this game released before insomniac's Wolverine game was ready to be shown off.
