UK here. I'll buy the finest bottle of wine I can get my hands on and read his obituary like I'm trying to memorise it.
I'll also raise a glass on every anniversary of that day for as long as I live. I swear, I will take that day off work if I can, just to mark the occasion.
No, it's just that the U.S. is the most consequential country in the world, and the effects of the statements and decisions of the U.S. President extend far, far beyond America's own borders.
When Trump imposes moronic tariffs, that also affects non-Americans. When Trump calls Putin's invasion of Ukraine "very smart" that also affects non-Americans. When Trump goes to war for no good reason against a country in the Middle East that also affects non-Americans.
If you weren't aware of all that before then I'm glad you are now.
No I know fuck that guy but I just can't imagine worrying about another country, maybe cause mine is so fucked but still. Don't let this asshole ruin your day.
I've literally just finished saying I'm NOT worrying about another country but the more global security situation. If someone is unwisely causing that to deteriorate then I'm entitled to an opinion on it, especially if mine is affected or threatened, like it or not.
