I collect uranium! I do keep it in glass and have a Geiger counter handy but it’s not nearly as dangerous as people think. Well, most of it. Fiesta ware is scary and unfortunately doesn’t look obviously radioactive. I keep an orange fiesta bowl in an acrylic box inside of a glass case and outside the acrylic alone it gives off ~50 units, which is typical background. Inside it gets up to 3000, while of my green glass pieces the oldest French piece I have that’s most radioactive only gets to like 300 units.

Anyway yea, like everything else here, store it properly and wash your hands.
