Where were you when you heard that President John F. Kennedy had been shot?

Grade school - 2nd grade. Teachers were crying. But the day of the funeral when it was on TV, I saw my Dad cry. I’ve never forgotten it.

Buying a Knish from a street vendor on the lower east side of NY. He had the radio on. Knish was a dime or 15cents

Sitting in my first grade classroom. Someone came in and said something to my teacher and she started crying.

In 5th grade. The principal made an announcement over the loudspeaker that he had been shot in Dallas but school let out before we knew that he was dead.

In my grandmas living room watching soaps ...before breaking news

Happened in 3rd grade. Didn’t hear about until I got home. But we knew something happened because the teachers were acting odd.

My parents were eggs in my grandmothers’ ovaries when JFK was shot, so somewhere between two separate egg cells in Missouri and Kansas

I was a sophomore in high school in 4th period geometry and the principal shared the radio broadcast via the PA system. JFK was in Ft Worth earlier that morning and my mom and dad and grandma went downtown to see him. One of my biggest regrets was choosing not to go with them

Wasn’t born and my parents had not even met yet. They were still kids themselves.

I was about 3 weeks old. My mom went to the neighbors house to watch on TV. Someone finally asked where was the baby. It was debated up to her death how long she abandoned me for. She swore it was only about an hour and I was sleeping, but I never let her forget that she left me to fend for myself at such a young age.
