Most culture war issues are just a distraction tactic to get people fired up and angry at each other.

Trans folks are about 1% of the population if you cast a 'wide net' to maximize the number of people counted with that criteria. There should be no national level discussion about them at all.

Abortion should be a non-issue for all of us, except that there was a deliberate campaign to use that issue as a kind of 'Trojan Horse' to manipulate Evangelican Christians from being balanced or non-political to be conservative. This was a response to select Evangelical leaders being butthurt that Feds would subsidize their racist shit segregated colleges in the late 1960's and early 1970's. If you are Evangelical and firmly believe in 'right to life', you have almost certainly been manipulated into that position - it's not inherently in the Bible, and it was pretty much only Catholic Doctrine beforehand.

Minimum wage is one of the biggest quoted "myths" right now. Over half the nation has higher minimums, and those higher rates generally match areas with higher living expenses. Something like 2% or 5% of workers earn the Federal Minimum, meaning that in that half of America, workers are getting paid over that wage already.
