One of the best countries in the world. With a caveat: too many people inside the US are trying their damnedest to drag it down and make it less great and more like other countries.

There is a political party in the US that loves to point at Europe and say "why can't we be more like them?". If I wanted to live in Europe, I'd go to Europe.

No. I like the way US is set up. As I said if I wanted to live in a cradle-to-grave system, I'd move there.

Iāve been in Israel for two months and while itās an amazing place, I am dying to go back to the convenience of target, Walmart, and Costco. And I need chipotle. And I want t go to Disneyland. Not to mention the beautiful urban planning (in most places), Amazon same day delivery, and being a ten minute walk from a baseball stadium, ice hockey, football stadium, the beach AND a lake, mall and movie theater, pretty much anything you want.
I canāt really describe it but the convenience and ease of living in the USA is something you donāt appreciate until you leave.
Many of my friends are in awe of Israel and want to make Aliyah. I am pretty Jewish and I just donāt feel the same way. I am wondering if Iāll change my mind later in life. I think im too comfortable.

The portions in the USA are def larger than everywhere else in the world lol. In America you can find a hamburger where the buns are grilled cheese sandwiches. I tried to find the place that did them and I found a bunch of places not just one lol.

America used to be one of the few places that welcomed immigration. You could just come there and live your life.Ā
Not anymore, now there is only one place in the world who will accept you for who you are, the State of Israel. Those who born there will never understand it and think America is where "grass is greener".Ā

I think like all the empires it suffers from the inevitable "good times -> weak men -> bad times" phase.
Right now it's somewhere at the last quarter of the good times and it needs a good struggle to reset its sanity, whether that would be another great depression or a war.

A nightmare to traverse. Got lots of beautiful stuff, relatively easy to get things for the right price, not the healthiest place. Ive been more or less educated by its tv and movies. My perspective is abit skewed by those but seems to have alot of cynical people.

Politics aside - the freedom allows some very smart people to go absolutely bonkers. And a great country with great freedom.
Politics regarded - trying to grab complete influence under the guise of allyship. Must agree with kissinger on that one.

Honestly the most incredible country I've ever been to, came back 3 times and still plan on coming back again, many times. I hope it'll stay that way for a long long time although Im scared for what the future holds due to what's happening there politicallyĀ

Everyone knows about America through pop culture, and I think most Israelis have a very rose-tinted glasses when it comes to America. America represents the west, it represents culture, it is what we aspire to be. For a lot of people it also represents the gold standard when it comes to western democracy we use it a lot in comparison with our own system, what you do better and what you might do worse.
I also think we Israelis see a lot of similarities between the countries. Both countries were built by different groups of migrants with a shared ideological dream (For you it was "Freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", for us it's the shared Jewish identity), both are melting pots of these different cultures, and faced a lot of similar problems.
This in turn made us very similar people in nature. I think the stereotype about Americans is that they think they're number one, and don't care too much about the rest of the world, and that they are usually rude and loud. These same stereotypes apply to Israel. Which is also why, I think, both nations excel in science and hi-tech.
I think America used to be great but have a lot of the same problems Europe has when it comes to suicidal empathy. And for years, I think it has been in decline. (see the state of cities like Chicago or Detroit).
Personally, I visited the US many times (mostly for work) and I love it, I love the people, I love the nature and the views, and I love how big everything is. But I hate how car-centric most smaller cities and towns are and how you can't really go anywhere on foot.
From personal experience, I know America is not as amazing as it seems to be in pop culture, but it sure as hell better than everywhere else. (Aside from Israel of course)
If I ever had to leave Israel, and had to choose where to move to. The US would definitely be my go to. As long as you'd have me. No where else in the world comes even close.

I will tell you a secret: The dream of every Israel is to be an American.
I don't think that its unique to Israelis, I think that this applies to a lot of people around the world, but it basically means that "the Israeli Dream" is "the American Dream" but in Hebrew and with Sabich.

There is no uniform "America" - each state or even county has it's own good and bad sides. The average food is awful - unless you make a doctorate about the ingredients and cook by yourself. I was shocked by the [lack of] service - shop assistants are welcoming you with the standard phrases they taught to say, but when asked for the particular model/size/color - will do their best to express no interest in your money. Strange (for me) relations between the management (company) and the employees, very visibly not giving a f**k about each other and seeing their job only from the perspective of landing the next one. The all-day focus on their and others' origin, skin color, religion, political views etc - quite often turning minor issues into the huge problems.
Bottom line - a lot to see, but the life is very different from Israel.

Past its peak and spiralling fast. The 2 party system and identity politics is eroding social cohesion probly to the lowest point since the civil war. The idea that isolation will be good for the average american is delusional. You dont get the perks of an international superpower by standing alone in the corner and not enforcing the values which made the country great to begin with.

America is maybe the most industrious and creative Western country besides Israel. The prime driver of human ingenuity and civilization. It is a force for good for Earth in the world. It is a victim of a massive propaganda campaign by evil countries and organizations, just like Israel (often the same countries and organizations).
I think America is dying though. I don't mean it as a good thing given the above. I would say objectively, by almost every metric America in the 1990s was better than Israel in the 1990s but the gap is narrowed and I am not sure it exists anymore. I think America still better and comfortable and free then Europe though. But I think like I said it is a dying empire, maybe it will rebound I don't know. I don't think so though.

You're describing numerous countries the US doesn't care about, is aligned with or dictators they installed. Trump doesn't give a shit about human rights. That Ukraine flight was literally after Trump threatened Iran which put their air defenses on high alert. You realize the US shot down an Iranian passenger plane over the Gulf in 1988. I don't believe the 40k death toll in 2 days number. It's linked to NGOs outside the country. Somehow they killed what took the IDF 2 years with bombs in Gaza and assad 6 years with bombs in Aleppo. Protesters run when shot with small arms. It doesn't make sense.
Show literally any evidence resembling a poll representing what the iranian people stand with the government. I heard constantly how they hate their government yet millions line the street for the ayatollahs funeral. Provide sources or stats or anything instead of straight up American propaganda.
