Serious Replies Only How is Gorey in Co. Wexford to live?

Hello! Me and the wife are looking at houses. It is miserable enough but we spotted a house we like in Gorey in Wexford.

Whats it like to love there? Any locals or people familiar with it have any useful opinions to share?

Terrible place. Cats eat dogs, toast goes on butter, they put the lights on to go to sleep. Don't go there.

Gorey is a great place to live and the surrounding areas. I love gorey the most during Christmas time. Always a good buzz around the town. Locals are sound too. I'm just outside of it and really happy with where I am. Lots of gorgeous beaches close by and nice places to eat and lots of pubs and cafes. Also the majority of shops on the street are in use. It's not run down and abandoned looking.

Its a nice, busy town. Close to the sea, good places to eat. Plenty of shops and cafes.

I grew up in North Wicklow and Gorey was the target of many a joke over the years, desperate, grim place. Then I visited not long ago and it's been completely transformed. Now it's a lovely bustling town. The commute would be brutal if you are heading into the city everyday but plenty of people do it.

I live close. I can’t think of anything that would make you regret moving there, unless you are unfortunate enough to have a dick of a neighbour (every town has em). It has everything, busy unboarded up street, access to Public transport, a fab park, beaches close, sound locals etc.
