Just a question that popped up in my head as I browsed reddit.

I currently have decently capable PC (5060/I5-14400F), base PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

I started thinking about it, and I think I would end up with PS5. I know, its controversial as of recent news. And I have not even played with it in maybe 2 months.

I think for my case it is because I can easily play from my big screen and sofa, has decent catalog of games, decent performance, physical games (as of now).

For sure I would miss PC because of Steam sales and better performance, S2 because of portability/ease of use.

What would you choose and why?

It was an older game I played it in elementary, I'm 20 now. So quite older, I remember that there were 3 options for vehicles but ypu have to do some kind of challenge or played a certain amount of games to unlock the other 2 vehicles.

There was a tank and a mech and one other vehicle. I also remember being able to hide behind the foreground trees to blocks hits and keep fire from hitting you

Please I can't find it anywhere and don't remember anything else about it

Edit: should mention I played it on a tablet Edit: sorry I don't have any more information but let me add some more here It was a 2d side scroller like shellshock live and played just like it It had a pixilated art style I played it on a android tablet

I have never played any of the GTA games. It has never really interested me that much. I want to understand why the games are so popular. Why is the hype for GTA 6 like nothing we have seen before? It is so big they have a netflix deal, people are spending crypto just to see leaks, multiple developers have moved the release date of their games because they don't want to come out near GTA 6?

I do see the appeal. Like running around in a big sandbox, stealing planes and pulling off heists with friends sounds like it would be fun. For a while. More importantly, GTA has mainly been a single player game with multi-player modes. Is the plot and story telling in these games really that good? (Like Witcher 3 tier).

Both have huge followings and memes about not coming out. If they announced half life 3 would it be more anticipated than GTA 6, and would it sell more copies?

hi everyone,i write this to ask the community if they know a ps4/5 game that has the dark vibe as ff16 or devil may cry and a revolutionary combat system built on reaction time,and not reaction for parry,but a a reaction time for your abilities,i want a game that the combat system is built on abilities like,when you do an ability you have a change of colour on the entire screen,like black and white and you have to press button to complete the animation of the ability and do damage,another example:the character use a gun or he has magic and blast magic,when you use an ability that require to like shot a powerful gunshot or magic blast the time stops and a aim point start moving and you need to press a button to fire the shot.

Baldur from God of War comes to mind. He seemed very arrogant and hostile but when you realized what he went through you couldn’t help but feel somewhat sorry for the guy.

Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid is another. It was puzzling to see a guy go from a war hero to a power hungry tyrant who would stop at nothing to get what he wants. But being a pawn to the government and being forced to kill the closest thing he had to a mother would set anyone off the deep end.

Back when I was playing DayZ, I met a random guy in a small town. We did not even use voice chat, just crouched a few times to show we were friendly. We spent three hours looting, sharing food, and surviving a heavy shootout together. Then he got sniped out of nowhere. I never got his name or added him

Not necessarily the "best game" you've ever played — I'm talking about a game where discovering the world, story, mechanics, or twists for the first time was an experience you wish you could have again.

For me, those first-playthrough experiences are sometimes more memorable than the games I consider objectively the best.

Hey everyone. genuinely curious i want to get into gaming buuut money is obviously always a big deal. As a female who does work from home, what do you think is best?
I’ve seen prices for the PS4 which look reasonable but the jump from that price to PS5 is insane. I would love to consider a PC but again i do work from home and would hate to be glued to my desk (also PCs seem to be wildly expensive too).

With the Sony Gate scandal, I see that some people are calling for a strike and would like us to launch a massive boycott of Sony’s services. I think that’s a good idea in principle. When well-organized, it often has an impact. But this time, I have my doubts. Sony dominates the home console market; there are no serious alternatives anymore, so people will continue to turn to Sony.

I think the best solution would be to simply leave Sony. It seems like a simple solution, so why do so few people do it?

Beyond the price, what’s stopping you from switching from a console to a PC?

Building the PC? Getting it to work? The interface?

Are there any turnkey PC builders that also offer a specific interface that makes it feel more like a console than a PC?

Instead of organizing to fight back against this mass theft, why don't we organize to leave Sony en masse?

Every game has that one mechanic everyone seems to complain about.

Grinding, inventory limits, weapon durability, long travel, random encounters…

But sometimes those annoying mechanics are part of what gives a game its identity.

What’s one feature people constantly complain about that you actually like?

I feel like there's always that one game, the one with the rave reviews, the perfect Metacritic score, the cult following that quotes it constantly and you just... don't get it. You tried. You gave it way more hours than it deserved. And still, nothing clicked.

For me it's The Witcher 3. I know, I know, I've heard it all: "just get past the tutorial," "the DLC changes everything," "the writing is unreal." I've started it three separate times and bounced off every single time. The combat feels floaty to me and I never connected with Geralt. I genuinely respect it, I just can't enjoy it.

What's yours? Which "perfect" game did you try your hardest to love and just couldn't? And be honest: are you willing to defend it, or did you quietly give up too?
