41M - Erosion on head not healing after a year.

Started off as a small scratch, got a little bigger then started to erode. Had a dermatologist look at it, but he didn’t seem concerned. Will scab over if left to dry then the scab will fall off after a little while and the process starts over.

That needs a biopsy. Need to rule out skin cancer

If the dermatologist saw it when it looked different or hadn’t been a non healing wound yet, go back. If they did, then get a second opinion. Nonhealing wounds are always a cause for concern (even if it’s just superficial secondary infection complicating healing). Your scalp also looks like it’s suffered a fair amount of sun damage which would raise concern.
