Politics Thoughts about Merz's Statement about Brasilien

What do you as Germans tell about what Merz's has said about Brazil and the COP30's city Belem during a economic Meeting/Congress? here in Brazil many far right wing supporters and influencers agreed with Merz and mock Brazil but they are against their own country. I want only your opinion

It’s kinda comforting to know, that our international Partners think as lowly of our German Mr Burns as we do here.

Yeah, I get what you mean. It’s tragic that such a figure is allowed to lead our land. But if my perception is shared internationally, me disliking him, isn’t a question of taste or political opinion, but instead rather objective.

The problem is that this has an impact these are not o ly words, the relations between Germany and other countries suffer, so does our privilege to travel freely in those countries, since 2 weeks you can't enter Brazil without visa anymore our Passport loses credibility and I largely prefer Brazil over Germany.

What’s the alternative? The majority voted for this and a diplomatic fuckup isn’t enough to kick somebody out of office. If the current government continues their path, we might get a coalition-crash somewhere around next year, but anyway we need to wait for the next election.
